As soon as my exams are finished, I'll try to upload faster!
Also, I have a really exciting new story idea. So keep on the lookout for that, it's going to be called "The Bakery".

I don't know what to think of Mason. Yesterday I brushed his comment off and went on with working on the presentation. I have no idea if he meant it and it's been hurting my head trying to figure it all out.
Mason might be cute, but he's still a player.

I got a text from him this morning, saying he was going to drive me to school. Which made me feel all giddy inside, but also confused. Why would he want to do that? I mean, we are friends, but I don't see Chase driving me to and from school. Maybe one of the reasons for that is that Chase is a lazy arse.

A honk sounded from outside, indicating that Mason was here.
I grabbed my school bag and walked out of the house, locking the door behind me.
I opened the car door to the passengers seat and climbed in.

"Hey beautiful."

"Hello charming."

"Pet names, me likey."

"Your face, me not likey."

"Hey, that's not what all the other girls say."

I rolled my eyes, "You're such a player."

"No, I'm not."

I gave him a pointed look.

"Okay fine, I was. But I promise you, not anymore. I am a changed man."

"Sure you are, now are you going to start the car or are we going to be late for school?"

His expression changed for a second, before returning to its playful self.
"Your wish is my command, darling."

I rolled my eyes, but couldn't stop the smile that was breaking out on my face.

The car ride to school was filled with laughter and jokes, which meant that the time went by fast. Too fast.
The car came to a stop and I sighed, not wanting to see Sarah. I still see her as my friend, but I'm not sure if that will last long with her change in attitude.

Gathering my strength, mentally and physically, I stepped out of the car.
Together we walked to my locker.
As expected Sarah was standing by my locker, where her boyfriend went was a mystery to me. I haven't seen James in a while to be honest.

As soon as I appeared in Sarah's view, she glared at me.
"We need to talk."

"I have class and I'm not going to skip, you should know that."

A look of disgust crossed her face, "You are such a nerd."

"Thank you."

"That wasn't a compliment."

"I'm going to take it as one anyways. Being seen as a nerd is a great accomplishment." I turned towards my locker and removed my books from my bag.

"You're such a loser! If it weren't for me you would've never been popular. Without me, you'll be an outcast. You need me."

I couldn't turn around fast enough. I couldn't believe the words that were coming out of her mouth. I never knew she could be so ugly to me.
"I'm sorry, but in order for you to insult me, I would first have to give a fuck. Nice try though." I said walking away. Time for the dreadful chemistry lesson.

~
"I think she's just jealous of you, she has always been." Chase pointed out. I don't want to give myself credit or something, but it could be true. Especially with the way she's been acting lately. Or maybe she's just mad that I'm not one of her minions anymore.

"I don't blame her, I mean look at you. This might be cheesy, but I think you're grate." Mason turned his head sideways, smiling goofily.

"I hate you," I joked.

Mason spoke in a playful way, "Wow, well, guess what? I hate you too."

"They actually want to bone each other soooo bad," Chase said in a deep narrator voice. I forgot he was here for a moment.

"Shut the h-"

"Language Brooke!"

"Shut up, Mason!"

"No, you shut up! "

"Fight! Fight! Kiss! Kiss!" Chase yelled out, grabbing the attention of the whole table.

I shook my head embarrassed and stood up to grab my bag. Lunch was almost over.

"Where are you going?"

"Away from you guys. I need to surround myself with smart people, I have reached my daily maximum of stupidity."

"Alright, I'll see you in cla- HEY, I'm not stupid." He pouted, looking like a child.

"Chase, please stop lying to yourself."

I turned around and walked out the cafeteria, but Mason and Chase  followed me into the hallway.

"Hey Brooke, are you free on Friday? Like, around 6 pm?"

"Yes? Why, what do you want to do?"

Chase ignored me and turned to Mason, "What about you?"

Mason nodded confused, "Yes, I am..."

"Great! Because I'm not. You two go on without me. Mason I'll text you the details. Enjoy your date and remember, use protection!"

"Did he just-"

I nodded, "Yes, he did."

"So... I'll see you at six then."

Before I could react, Mason disappeared into the crowd. Was I really going to do this? Or should I just cancel...
