[luke]

It had been two days since he kissed her. Luke had completely ignored Sam at school, he didn't want his friends to know he actually liked someone for a change.

He hoped to keep what happened a secret.

Sam didn't really seem to notice Luke had been avoiding her in school. Luke was kind of a different person outside of school, he felt the need to keep up his rep and she would ruin it.

He knew he was an asshole, but that was just apart of the deal.

"So, have you banged her yet?" Michael smirked, catching up to Luke in the halls.

"Nah, she's a little hard to get." He shrugged, playing it off.

As far as his friends were concerned Luke just wanted to get with Sam and that was it, since that's what he's known for.

His reputation was stupid, it didn't matter really, but to him it meant more than it should.

"Push a little harder, when was the last time you got laid?" Michael asked, rolling his eyes.

"Yesterday." Luke shrugged, not seeing Michael's point.

"Exactly my point! You could have her wrapped around your finger if you wanted, bangin' everyday man." Michael smirked, tipping back his 'water bottle' which was actually filled with vodka.

"She's not easy mate, I'm pretty sure she hates me."

"That's just a girls cover for when she likes you, don't be so naive Luke." He chuckled, patting Luke on the back before heading into the toilets.

Luke shook his head. He knew that Sam didn't actually like him, it was obvious she hated the kid.

Or was it?

"Luke! Honey, how was school?" His mum, Liz, asked as he came through the door.

"Yeah it was fine." He mumbled, searching the cupboards for any type of junk food.

"Dinner first." She shook her head at him, taking the bag of chips out of his grasp.

"Mum, I'm almost 18 I think I can decided if I want to have chips for dinner." Luke grumbled, snatching the bag out of her hand.

"And I'm still your mother, and I say dinner first. Don't argue with me." Liz said firmly, he groaned like a little child, running up to his room.

Sighing, he flipped open his laptop and connecting his camera to it. Looking through some random pictures he had taken recently, he smiled at the turn out of them.

Scrolling through pictures more, he landed on the ones from the school photo shoot.

Sam looked so happy in the pictures, his lips curved up into a smile at the sight of them. Just as he clicked on another picture, the door bell rang causing him to jump a little.

"Luke! It's for you!" His mom called, he sighed and hopped off his bed. Luke's eyes widened as he laid eyes on Sam, he had assumed it would have been Michael or Ashton.

"What are you doing here?" Luke asked her as she took off her shoes.

"We have a project fuck tard." She sighed, pulling out the papers from her bag.

"Another?"

"Yes, if you actually paid attention you would have known we have a project together." Sam snapped, glaring up at him from where she was sitting.

"I'm-" He started, but couldn't finish due to this mum walking into the living room.

"Oh sweetie, are you Luke's girlfriend?" Liz asked sweetly, Luke shot her a deathly glare as Sam shook her head furiously.

"Defiantly not. I'm just here to do a project with your son." Sam smiled at his mum.

"You didn't tell me about a project Luke." Her brows raised, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Well this is the first I'm hearing of it too." He groaned, running a hand through his hair, Sam taking a small glance at his hands.

"Pay attention more in school. Dinners soon, And- what's your name sorry?" Liz asked, realizing she never got Sam's name.

"Samantha. But I go by Sam." She smiled, Liz nodded.

"I'm Liz by the way." Sam smiled and nodded.

"Well Sam you may stay for dinner if you'd like."

"Oh no that's-" She started but Luke leaned over to her ear, whispering something to her.

"Just say yes, she'll make you stay anyway." He whispered, his hot breath tickling her ear.

"Thank you, Liz."

"Get to studying you two!" She shooed them off. Luke groaned immediately as soon as they were away from his mum.

"She's nice." Sam smiled, pulling out a pencil from her backpack.

"Yeah." Luke mumbled, searching for something in his room. She took a quick glance around his room.

"Hey, how did you know where I live?" He turned to face her, a confused look on his face.

"I asked Michael." She shrugged, diverting her attention to the papers on his bed.

Luke nodded and rejoined her on his bed, looking at the papers.

They sat in silence for a little while, until Sam's phone disrupted that silence.

She leaned over to her backpack, grabbing the phone out of it. He leaned over a little, glancing at the screen to see who she was texting.

It was Calum.

"Sorry about that." She said, turning back to Luke with a hard to read expression.

"We should talk about that kiss." Luke suddenly said, her eyes widened and kept her mouth closed, not sure of what to say.

"I don't really-" She was cut off by Liz calling for dinner.

God damn Liz.
