[sam]

"Dad, I'll be fine for the next few days we've done this before." Sam chuckled as she ate her breakfast.

"I know, I just feel bad that I leave you alone all the time." Her father said sadly.

His job was very demanding meaning that he had to go on a lot of business trips.

"It's not all your fault." She smiled, trying to make him feel better about the situation.

"I wish your mum was here to help out sometimes though." He sighed, grabbing his keys.

"Don't speak about mum." Sam snapped and stood up to put her plate in the sink. He sighed sadly again and walked towards her, placing his hand on her shoulder in hopes to comfort her.

"I'm sorry love. I miss her too." Her father said and pulled her into a quick hug.

"See you later, yeah?" She said as she walked up the stairs. He replied with a nod and sighed to himself as he collected his things and headed out the door.

Sam walked into her bedroom and stared at her closet, trying to decide what she was going to wear. Soon enough she decided on something and got dressed quickly.

As she got ready there was a few recurring thoughts that wouldn't go away. What was Calum going to tell her about Jack? Why was Jack a bad kid, as he said. And most important of all, what role does Luke play in all of this?

Slamming her bathroom drawer shut, she was finally finished getting ready. Usually it didn't take her all that long to get ready, but she was sort of sluggish today due to her brain not functioning properly today.

Sam glanced over to her phone on her bed and tapped on her lip as she thought about wether or not she should call Kat.

She knew that Kat was willing to help her with all of this and well, Sam wouldn't be able to do this alone, so she called her.

"Hey, Can we walk to school together today?" Sam asked, tapping her foot on the ground.

"You want to walk? It takes longer to walk from your house." Kat lazily said, it sounded like she had just woken up.

"We need to talk." She replied.

"About what?" Kat asked, there was some shuffling notices coming from her end.

"Luke and Jack." Said Sam.

"Oh right, well I'll be over in 20." She said and hung up with that. Sam rolled her eyes at that.

She knew she wouldn't be 20 minutes if she had just woken up, it takes her 20 minutes alone to decide what outfit she was going to wear.

"Brilliant." Sam mumbled and grabbed her bag, then walking downstairs to watch some tv as she waited for Kat to show up.

She slung her bag over her shoulder and walked down the stairs quickly. Sam grabbed he remote and flicked on the tv. She had probably went through all the channels they had and sighed as there was nothing good on tv this early in the morning.

The only things that were on were boring talk shows for middle aged woman with nothing better to do with their time. She sighed and flicked off her tv.

Grabbing her phone, she stared at the screen that had a few text notifications displayed on it. She read the preview of the text and quickly unlocked her phone so she could read the rest of the message.

Hey Sam, we got cut off the other day and I know how much you wanted to know what I was going to say, so how about we meet after school? Grab some food or something? I'll tell you everything I know. X
