[luke]

Luke sat with his head in his hands, numerous papers scattered across his desk. Usually Luke didn't really apply himself when it came to school, but since these final grades will determine whether or not he graduates this year, he's trying a bit harder.

Why was all of this so hard? He asked himself.

The last day of school was quickly approaching and he was scared shitless that he wouldn't graduate. He certainly didn't want to repeat a year, especially alone.

He groaned aloud, slamming his fists down on the table as he wasn't understanding the work.

Luke stood up and paced around his room. At this speed there was no way he was going to finish his work and have it ready for tomorrow morning. He could just cheat, he thought.

But was that really the way he wanted to graduate, by cheating? Sure it was the easy thing to do and he has done it many a time before but for some reason now, it just seemed so wrong.

Usually he didn't care about grades and all that, but as the end of his school days were coming to an end, reality started to set in.

Luke sat back down at his desk, staring at the paper as if the answers would magically appear on the paper.

"You can do it, just focus." He muttered to himself. Grabbing his phone, he stuck his headphones in and started playing a song.

He really should have payed more attention in class when the teacher was teaching this subject.

Luke mentally slapped himself in the head for being such a slacker. He gripped a pencil between his fingers and started to write on the deadly piece of paper sat in front of him.

It was now around eight pm, he hadn't even stopped once to take a break. He knew if he took too many breaks, he would never get anything done.

Luke stretched out his hands as they had started to hurt from all the writing he was doing.

He stood up and slightly wobbled as he did so. His legs were a bit numb from not moving them for a couple hours.

Running a hand through his hair as he looked at himself in the mirror he smiled a bit. He felt proud of himself that he was actually applying himself to school, it felt good.

Luke rummaged through his backpack to find his wallet so he could go out to the shops for a snack.

Liz hadn't done much shopping recently, leaving the cupboards sparse.

As he looked in his wallet for some money, he noticed a shiny packet peeking out of the back fold.

He rolled his eyes as he flung the packet onto his desk.

"Won't be needing that anytime soon." He mumbled to himself.

Recently he just hadn't been in the mood for random, meaningless sex like he usually had.

He grabbed his keys and slipped on a hoodie as it was still cold outside after dark. He was dressed in all black-as usual-making him almost unnoticeable in the dark of the night.

Luckily for him, he lived rather close to a convince store.

Luke pushed open the door into the very familiar store. His eyes scanned the aisles carefully, looking for something good to snack on.

There was so many choices, but he didn't have enough money for everything he wanted, sadly.

Luke debated in his mind for a good five minutes on what drink and snack he should get. There was just so many choices, he kept thinking.
