[sam]
"Hey! Where are you going so fast?" Kat asked, running up to catch Sam.
She stopped abruptly and turned around to face her friend who was calling after her.
"Heading home." Sam replied, grabbing a chocolate bar out of her backpack and slinging it over her shoulder again.
"You wanna walk home together? We haven't done that in awhile." She asked, smiling widely, her white teeth shining through.
Since Kat's parents were rather wealthy, she got her teeth bleached so white she looked like she belonged in Hollywood.
Sam though her teeth looked a little too bright and a tad bit fake looking, but she would never say that to her.
"Yeah, alright. Let's go." She nodded and smiled as Kat happily clapped. Silence fell between them as they exited the loud and busy halls.
A thought dawned upon Sam suddenly and she snapped her head towards Kat to look at her.
"I know we've been friends for years and years but, out of all other girls at this school, why did you choose me to be your best friend? I'm not really your type of friend." Sam laughed. None of Kat's other friends were like Sam, not one bit.
"You're the realist person I know. Nothing fake about you. I like someone who isn't like all my other friends who have all the exact same interest as me and even dress the same way as me. You're also such a great friend. You won't lie to me when I ask your opinion even if your opinion is something I might not like. Nobody could replace you, Sammy." Kat smiled softly at her as Sam started to blush.
She never really knew how to take such nice complements like that.
"I think that is one of the nicest things you've ever said to me." Sam said, her eyes slightly wide. She stopped and pulled in Kat for a tight hug.
"Wow, I haven't gotten a hug from you like that in awhile." She beamed as they pulled away from their short embrace.
"I'm sorry about that." Sam said, frowning.
"It's alright, I understand why." Kat nodded understandingly.
"Thanks, you know for being such a good friend to me and all." She said quietly, her hand rubbing her neck awkwardly.
"What was that? A complement from Sam? Woah, this is crazy. I should go tweet about, it'll take the world by storm!" Kat sarcastically exclaimed, flailing her arms around.
"Hey, I'm the sarcastic dickhead in this relationship." Sam fake scolded, waggling her finger at Kat.
They both laughed and Kat slung her arm around Sam's neck as they walked.
"Right you are, right you are."

Sam paced around the room, tapping her fingers on the back of her phone as she waited for it to be time to leave her house to meet him.
At first she thought this would be a bad idea, but then she thought of something that would make this a perfect opportunity for something she's wanted to do for a long time.
Glancing down at her phone, she bit her lip nervously as the time ticked by quickly. She only needed fifteen minutes to walk to the destination they set for meeting at.
Soon it was time for her to leave finally. Feeling anxious as she locked the front door, she spun around on her heals and quickly walked to the park.
