[sam]

After working out the details of Luke's tutoring with her teacher after class, the day was finally over. They worked out that she would tutor Luke every Monday and Thursday fir the duration of the school year. She only wanted to do it once but she couldn't pass up the credits her teacher offered up.

She was finding it a little easier to tutor him, which was good but; lets face it, Luke sucked at science. Sam sighed as she slammed her locked shut after throwing in all her books that she didn't need to take home. Something caught her eye in her locker, causing her to open it back up again.

Her eyes caught onto the small photo strip taped to the back of her locker. It was a picture of her and Kat from year 6. She smiled softly at the picture of them years ago, things were so simple then, she thought. Sam didn't want to think about being a grown up, she didn't want to worry about a job or finding her own place to live. She wanted to go back in time to when that picture was taken, when she had not a worry in the world. Taking one last glance at it, she closed her locker shut for good.

"Hey Sam! Wait up." Calum's raspy voice called after her, causing her to spin around on her heals.

"Oh, hi Calum." Sam greeted as he caught up to her in the hallway.

"Want to go grab some coffee?" He asked as they walked down the halls and towards the door that lead them out of school. Sam wasn't really keen on getting coffee at the minute, but she was trying to work on being nicer to people, so she accepted with a nod.

Calum grinned happily at her in response. Today was a much nicer day than it had been recently, the sun was shining and the birds chirping, it was a rather picturesque day you could say.

Her and Calum chatted about their lives recently, since they hadn't spoken in awhile. Calum was so nice to Sam, he was just a very enjoyable guy to be around. Always wearing a smile.

"What do you want?" He asked as they stepped into Starbucks. She glanced up at the menu board, scanning the countless drinks they had until she landed on one she wanted. They both ordered their drinks and waited for them in a rather large line since it was quite busy at the minute.

"Uh, a tall chai tea for.. Calvin?" The barista called out. Calum stomped over to the lady and glared at her for a few second as he grabbed the cup from her grasp.

"My name is Calum, not Calvin. Why does everyone think my name is Calvin?" He groaned, rolling his eyes at her before walking away.

"Sassy." Sam commented as he sat down next to her at the table she picked out for them to sit at while they enjoyed their drinks.

"What? Just telling her what my name actually is." Calum shrugged, not really thinking he was being a bit aggressive.

"Calvin suits you, I reckon." She said, smirking at a little as she glanced up at him.

"No it doesn't! I am Calum, Calum Hood and only Calum!" He groaned. She his laughed in response and shook her at him.

"I'm going to start calling you Calvin now." Sam shot him a devilish smirk. His eyes narrowed and a frown formed on his lips.

"You wouldn't dare."

"I certainly would, Calvin." She giggled softly at his angry facial expression.

"You bitch." Calum jokingly mumbled.

After awhile of talking about many things at the coffee shop, they finally decided to leave the store and head outside, since it was so nice out today. Just as they stood up, a book dropped out of Calum's bag, Sam bent down to grab the book that had fallen out of his backpack, it was open so she nosily looked at the words scribbled onto the page.
