"No school today huh?" Sam's dad asked, peeling his eyes away from the news paper in his hand.
"Yeah." She said, shrugging her shoulders.
"I got a call from your teacher earlier about some school photoshoot, for their website." He said, catching her attention.
"And what does this have to do with me?" Sam furrowed her eyebrows in confusion to why her dad told her about this.
"They want you to be on their website."
"Whoa, no way dad." She chuckled, rolling her eyes.
"I think you should do it honey, get more involved with the school." He father pushed, hoping she'd agree.
"What's in it for me?" Sam grumbled, crossing her arms over her chest in annoyance.
He leaned over to his phone, pulling out a note he had written down from when the school called.
"$30, they only need you for a couple hours."
"I could use the money, I guess."
"The shoot starts in a few hours, you have to meet some lad named.. Luke Hemmings? The student photographer?" Her dad said and she started choking on her tea.
She probably should have thought this through more.
//
Sam wasn't really excited for Luke to be taking her picture. She didn't really understand why the school would pay her to have pictures of her and other students on the school website but, thirty bucks is thirty bucks and she needed it for stuff she needed online. Sam messaged Kat about the shoot but she was busy with her snotty little friends that Same despised of.
Luke really didn't seem like the type who would take pictures and that made Sam think, strange scenarios flooded her mind but she pushed them away. Ever since she's met Luke she's wanted to stay away from since he's an annoying fuck boy, but she only seems to see him.
She didn't really get why she hated him, she just didn't like his personality, how he had strange mood changes. Sam didn't really understand why she disliked this kid so much, but she didn't let it bother her.
Pushing through her rack of clothes she pulled out a simple black shirt with grey sleeves and ripped blue jeans, along with a pair of hightop converse. She didn't think the shoot needed to be dressy since it was after all for school.
After letting her dad know she was leaving, she made her way to school, which she wasn't happy about since its her day off and she doesn't want to be near school when she doesn't have to be.
"Just do it for the $30, just do it." She whispered to her self as if this physically pained her. She didn't mind having her picture taken but she just didn't want Luke taking her picture, that was it.
She quickly walked into the school hallways in search of the room where the shoot was going to take place. Finally she found a room with a sign for the shoot, pulling out her earphones she looked around the room that only had a white backdrop and lights set up.
There was a couple other girls and boys sitting down beside the lights, so she started to approach them to ask what was going on. Before she could open her mouth someone grabbed her by the waist, spinning her around to face them.
"Calum." She breathed, looking up into his eyes.
"You here for the shoot?" He asked, letting his hand slowly slide off her waist.
"Uh, yeah." She scratched the back of her neck awkwardly, he nodded and smiled.
"Where is the photographer?" Sam questioned, looking around the room.
"Not sure, he's 15 minutes late." He groaned, rolling his eyes. Of course Luke was going i be late, just making the hole process of this longer.
"He's so-" Sam started before Calum's eyes widened, causing her to turn around again.
"Who's so?" Luke smirked, glaring at Calum. She didn't answer and walked over to a corner in the room, placing her jacket and bat in a pile before joining the group of students.
"Alright," Luke cleared his throat, fixing the collar of his flannel, "Today as you all know you're here to model for the schools website. The school wants pictures of their students looking happy and having fun, to make this shit hole look more desirable to attend." He chuckled.
Pacing around in a circle Luke continued on, "We'll need a few hours, at the end you'll all get $30. Understand?" Everyone nodded at once except for some blonde chick who literally looked like a fucking Barbie doll.
"Are there going to like, be, just one people shots? Like I think I would be really good for that." She giggled, twirling her finger around her hair like you see every typical dumb girl in movies do.
"Possibly," Luke smirked at her, licking his lips at her causing Sam to snort a little louder than she meant, all eyes turned to her. She just pretended like she was coughing and everyone looked away, to her luck.
They started off with everyone sitting in a classroom, all of them laughing and pretending like they were having fun in class, it looked like total bullshit but it's what the school wanted.
Every time Luke looked into the camera she could swear he always pointed the camera a little more towards her but she brushed it off, it's not like he would focus the pictures on only her.
Don't flatter yourself, Sam, she thought.
They took a quick break, so she immediately went to her phone and plugged in her headphones, shuffling through music and scrolling through her Twitter.
"If you love me right, we fuck for life, on and on-" Luke gabbed the earphone out of her ear and belted out the lyrics, causing her to shoot him the scariest death glare he had ever seen.
"Don't touch my god damn phone." She shook her finger in his face, only causing him to laugh out loud. Sam was annoyed since he had done this more than once, it was rude.
"Your taste in music is interesting,"
"Well clearly you know all the songs I listen to when you rip my headphones out so, that would apply to you as well."
"Sassy aren't you." Luke snickered, rolling his eyes before walking over to his camera and ordering everyone outside for the last few shots.
After they all finished up, Luke held Sam back before she could leave. She left out a deep sigh before turning on her heals to face Luke.
"You don't dare speak of this hole shoot to anyone who I know, especially Michael and Ashton." He growled, his face extremely close to her face.
"Isn't your name on the website, won't the others tell people?" Sam's eyebrows knitted together, folding her arms over her chest.
"My name won't be on the website, and the others won't say shit. They know who I am."
"And who are you? That kid who likes to giggle and cuddle?" She laughed, throwing her head back as she did, finding this hole situation funny as Luke clearly didn't.
He chuckled, interlocking his hands behind his back and pacing around a few times before pushing her to the wall softly.
"Princess, you don't even know me."
