[sam]

Today Sam felt different. Something felt wrong. Something was wrong.

Yesterday something happened that she really wished didn't. She was really starting to feel like her and Michael were friends. Just friends.

Why did he have to go and ruin it by kissing her? The feelings weren't mutual which just made everything even worse.

Sam liked Michael as a friend but she didn't like him in the other way. Sure, she could be oblivious sometimes but, she really didn't know that he liked her.

It came to her as a complete and utter surprise.

The thing that bothered her the most is when she kissed Michael she thought about Luke.

She instantly started comparing the kiss to how Luke kissed her.

She felt awfully bad about that, but she couldn't help but think it even though she tried not to. Sam tried so hard not to let herself believe that she liked Luke but she knew it was true.

It was hard for her to believe that she liked someone she hated months ago, but time really does change everything.

She felt uneasy about the fact that Ben had saw them kiss briefly in Michael's car.

She explained that it wasn't how it looked and for some reason Ben believed her and said he would keep his mouth shut. Maybe he wasn't as evil as his older brother.

Sam found it hard to focus on school with all of the shit going on. Luckily for her school was ending soon and graduation was in a few days.

As far as she could tell, she was going to graduate, but she still felt nervous about it all. She really didn't want to have to do another year in this hell hole.

Her and Kat sat in the lunch room together while they ate. Kat was rambling on about something her and Ashton were going to do this summer but Sam wasn't really listening.

"So what do you think?" Kat asked. Sam paused and looked up at her.

She didn't know what to say because she wasn't listening to what Kat was saying.

"Were you even listening?" Kat said, looking annoyed.

"Sorry I was just thinking about graduation and all that shit." Sam replied, lying.

"You sure? Is there something you aren't telling me?" The blonde asked with concern.

"I'm sure." Sam reassured her friend.

"If there's something up, you can tell me you know?" Kat said, placing her hand over Sam's that was resting on the table.

"I know." She nodded.

She couldn't tell Kat what happened. It was far too embarrassing. She trusted Kat with a lot of stuff and told her tons, but certain things she was too ashamed to tell her friend.

It had nothing to do with who Kat was, it was just Sam's worry about embarrassment.

"You don't tell me enough anymore. I want to hear about you and Luke." Kat pouted.

"There's nothing to tell." Sam nervously laughed, running a hand through her hair.

"That's such bullshit." Her blonde friend called her out.

"What do you want to know? There's weird, awkward sexual tension between us that he makes impossible to ignore and we've kissed more times than I would like to admit." Sam said with an annoyed tone.
