Bad day pt 1

Ericka's pov

It's been three days and Daryl and I haven't spoken to each other. Carol and I are basically outcasts, everyone blames us for Connie and Magna missing not caring we had good intentions in mind and besides how the hell were we supposed to know they were missing to begin with?

Shay and I were sitting at Shane's grave visiting him. "Mama, can daddy see we're vising him?' she asked me, "of course he can bug, you're daddy is watching over you, he's always with you." I answer her playing with her hair as she places a wooden heart she made for him on his grave marker. 

"I love you daddy, I wish you were here." She says "mama, can I go play with sissy and RJ now?" She asked as they were at Carl's grave waiting for her . "Of course bug." I answer her as we give each other tight hugs

"I miss you too amor, everyone is mad at Carol and I, and I know if you were here you would have our backs." I say as I place my hand on the grass that surrounds his grave marker. "Daryl is even mad at me, I know you would be pissed at him but it's my fault, I didn't know Connie and Magna were missing." I confess as I use my left hand to wipe my tears. "I'm gonna sound crazy when I say this but I even hallucinated you... I hope you really are watching over us and that you really were there with me that day... I heard your voice loud and clear, I even saw a figure of you... God amor, I love you!" I say as I am now sobbing as I felt someone touch my shoulder causing me to turn around, it was Jerry.

"I didn't mean to interrupt you, I just wanted to pay my respects and see how you're doing." He says sitting next to me. "Carol's having a bad day as well, something is going on with the electricity at her place and she has a rat problem."

"Yeah I killed like five of them and the electricity at our place is also gives out sometimes." I say wiping my face

"I'm gonna tell you what I told her,  I understand why you guys did what you did just the timing was wrong." He says letting out a sigh as I look down understanding he was right, "when you said his name, I thought you accidentally called me Shane, I didnt realize you were hallucinating him."

"That day was the first time that's ever happened, it hasn't happened since... Sorry if I freaked you out." I say still looking down. "I'm also sorry about Magna and Connie, I swear I didn't know they were missing." I continue this time looking at him

"I forgive you and Carol, the others will come around just give them time... Like you told Shayna, Shane is always with you, I think that's why you hallucinated him, you imagined what he would do in the situations you were in and in your conscious he appeared." He tells me, which makes sense... "As for Daryl he won't ignore you forever, he can't."

"What make you say that?, He has a thing for Connie and I may have ruined it for him." I ask

"Oh girl... You really aren't aware are you?" He says with a chuckle. "Connie is the one that likes Daryl, but homeboy has the hots for you...bad."

"No he doesn't. We made it clear years ago we're better off as friends." I say with a sly smile

"That was years ago... No disrespect to my friend here." He says moving his eyebrows to Shane's plot. " But Daryl loves you, everyone sees it, I'm surprised you haven't."

"In another life maybe but not this one." I protest Which makes him chuckle. "Anyway, thanks Jerry I really needed some cheering up."

"You're welcome." He says pulling me into a hug. "Nabila and I will always be here for you, which reminds me she has something for you, she'll stop by later when the kids go to bed." He says getting up then extends his hand to help me up when we heard yelling coming from the gate, Eugene was carrying Magna who was covered in dirt and blood. While Aaron was helping a blooded Daryl walk with no avail, that's when Jerry and I ran to the gates.
