Bad day pt 3

Ericka's pov

I was awakened by Shay, Judith, and RJ running into my room. They heard noises coming from outside, as I looked out the window I saw Beta kill some people. Judith has her gun in her hand as well as her kitana, Shay had Shane's spare gun. I locked them in the closet and told them if anything happens to stay there and when the coast is clear head to the basement for safety.

I heard loud pounding from the door downstairs, I looked through the peep hole and it was Rosita. I quickly let her in as she explained to me what happened. Beta snuck into Alexandria, how? That she isn't sure of but he let some walkers in as well and the were destroying the gate area where we keep our fruits and vegetables. We hid upstairs, when the downstairs door was busted open... Beta was inside my house.

"Keep calm princess, you know what to do." I hear Shane telling me

"Amor, I can't have you in my head now, I need to focus." I whispered to myself "please don't haunt me right now" when I heard Rosita scream

I quickly got out of the upstairs closet and saw Rosita, crawling away, Beta a few feet away from her.

"SHE'S PREGNANT, YOU SON OF A BITCH!!" I shout at him as I pull the trigger multiple times but he was wearing a bullet proof vest, he then begins to walk towards me as I ran into the spare room and pulled out my axe. I hid behind the door, and as I saw him enter I got him in the arm, and shoulder area. "THAT'S FOR MY HUSBAND ASSHOLE!" I shout again and as I was about to hit him again he grabbed my axe and had his hand wrapped around my neck lifting me up with ease.

I kicked, scratched, and even clawed at his mask which I ripped and caused him to shout "NO!", and let me go so he could fix it. Big mistake on his part as I picked up my axe and swung at him hitting him on his other arm. With his hand he grabbed his arm and I swung again, taking off his thumb, index, and middle finger off.

He got up and as I was about to turn and run he grabbed my hair, pulling it hard making me get teary eyed instantly. He dragged me down stairs and as much as I fought, I was only hurting myslef more. We were almost out my house when, Daryl appeared from behind my couch hitting Beta on the leg with his arrow causing him to let go of me and he and Daryl began fighting.

I ran upstairs, Rosita was with the kids. Thank God, she was fine as well as the kids. I hid with them till we heard Daryl shout the coast was clear. As we went back downstairs, Beta was gone and Daryl had a busted lip.

As we were walking outside, everyone from Alexandria were helping each other and checking on one another. The walkers Beta brought in were killed but we still didn't know how the hell Beta got in here. That's when Jerry came running toward  us. "Kids I think you should go inside, I need your mama and Uncle Daryl." He says

The kids went back inside with Rosita, as Daryl and I followed Jerry. "This is how Beta got in." Jerry says as he steps away. "He climbed over the gate?" Daryl asked. "No... Ericka I'm sorry." He says as we turn to the graveyard. The son of a bitch dug a tunnel and came out of a grave, but not just any grave, it was Shane's grave.

"AMOR!" I shout and was about to run to Shane's body till Daryl held me tightly, Beta had moved Shane's corpse so he could enter and escape through his tunnel.

I fought with every part of my being to get out of Daryl's hold but he overpowered me. "hey, hey, I know it's not easy but you have to listen to me." Daryl says in my ear. "We'll rebury him somewhere else ok, but you right now, I need you to ease up ok... I'm gon' let you go in a few but you don't need to see his decomposing body. Let them finish covering him then you can go alright." Daryl finishes telling me

I closed my eyes and begin to breathe in and out, trying to calm myself down. Daryl was right, I don't need to see Shane like that, it would fuck me up more if I did. When Jerry and Ezekiel finished covering Shane, Daryl let me go and as calmly as I could I walked up to them.

"We'll move him near my house, in the new graveyard area we are building." I begin to say as I kneel down next to Shane's body as Jerry and Ezekiel nod and get up leaving me alone with him for a short moment.

"Te prometo mi amor, los voy a matar". I say as I place my hand on the white sheet where Shane's stomach is. "I'll get revenge on them not just for what they caused to our friends, and the pain he put you through, but also for walking into our home and interrupting your rest... Te amo, amor forever and always." I say as I get up and turn away, walking passed Jerry, Ezekiel, and Daryl who followed me. I was seeing red, blood red! I got in one of the cars we keep in the front and drove off, I saw Daryl run to his bike as he was still following me. (I promise my love, I'm gonna kill them)

"I take it this is what you meant when you said, I know what to do?" I say thinking of Shane and my hallucination earlier. "I got you baby, you're right I do know what to do."

Killing Alpha was gonna be easy just hope Negan didn't already beat me to it.

I got to the woods, and stoped the car when I saw Kelly and Alden. "What happened?" I ask them stepping out of the vehicle

"Mary saved us, Beta killed her." Kelly says just then Daryl showed up in his bike. "What's crazier is that Negan was with him."

"That son of a bitch led Beta to Alexandria." Daryl says jumping to conclusions

"No he didn't." I say looking at him. "Negan is working undercover for Carol and I... Negan's number one rule is never kill children or women. Alpha and Beta did, Negan knows what he's doing, he'll kill one of them if not both."

Daryl just looked at me in disbelief, I know he wants to argue with me but he doesn't instead he wraps his arm around my shoulder. "Alright, let's track them, they can't be that far." He says to me as he leads the way. I hand over the car to Kelly and Alden so they can head back to Alexandria and inform everyone where Daryl and I are.

Daryl and I wondered the woods for hours, the sun is now starting to set. We we spotted Alpha and Negan talking. We hid behind a bush and listened to them.

"Did Carol follow us too?" I say looking at Daryl

"Nah, she must've been here longer than us." He says "let go find Lydia and head back to Alexandria."

Daryl and I continued walking and I couldn't get the smile off my face. Mine and Carol's plan worked, Alpha is dead but now we need that asshole Beta.

We came across a wooden shack, inside Lydia was there. She hugged Daryl tightly and sobbed. When we heard footsteps behind us, it was Negan.

"Ya know, I have a car so we can go back home." He says nonchalantly, "sorry about your mom kid but she had it coming."

Lydia understood why Negan killed her but at the end of the dad no matter how abusive Alpha was to her, she was still her mother.

Negan then looks at Daryl, "Your girlfriend here is a total badass, she knows what she wants and how she wants it and I was happy to give it to her." He says with a sly smile "but no like that."

Lydia rode with Daryl on his bike, I had to ride with Negan. He kept talking to me but I was focused on how we can kill Beta, I needed to lure him in to a trap but I can't even begin to think how to do that.

We arrived in Alexandria, Negan went back to his cell for the night. Daryl, and Lydia spent the night at my place. The kids were in bed and Rosita was asleep on the couch well the fold out bed part of the couch.

After checking on Shay who was once again in my room. I walked outside, and went to visit Shane.

"She's dead amor, thanks to Negan. Now we just need that asshole Beta." I say sitting down on the freshly placed dirt when I felt someone touch my shoulder I turned but no one was there. I closed my eyes and heard him, "soon babe, soon."
