Bad day pt 2

Ericka's pov

It's been two days and although Daryl is still healing he is out and about like nothing happened but at times when I glance at him I can see he is in a bit of pain still.

We haven't talked and honestly even though I miss my friend, I'm not gonna be the first one to apologize especially since he lashed out on me after apologizing to him countless of times, he has to come to me this time.

Judith and Shay have always been close but ever since they discovered they're actually sisters they've been inseparable. Judith has even taught Shay a thing or two about using a sword as a weapon. Granted even though Shay is only seven, Shane did teach her how to use a gun if need be but a sword was a completely new learning experience for her. I hesitated on teaching her how to use an axe like me but I did teach her a few things as well but a sword is what she feels comfortable with. My daughter knows how to protect herself and I am proud of her for that.

I just dropped off the kids at their "home schooling" when Carol approached me as I was a few feet from my house asking if we can talk, I said sure and we entered my place.

"I think we need a third peron's help, " she says "we need someone to join the whispers as an undercover tactic."

"I agree but who? Alpha knows everyone here... She knows Lydia is alive so she's not an option, Mary lives at Hilltop now after Alpha disowned her so we can't use her either." I tell her as I pour a cup of hot tea for her

"You're right but maybe we can send Lucy from Hilltop or Jason from here?" She suggested

"Lucy is helping Earl take care of baby Adam since Tammy Rose died and Jason can barley help here with fixing the gate at his age." I say rubbing the back of my head as an idea came to me causing Carol to look at my curiously as I have a almost sinister smile on my face

"Oh God, what?" She says looking puzzled

"How bad do you want this bitch dead?" I question her

"I want her to beg for mercy... I want her to suffer as she's dying." She says in a serious tone

"I know just the right person, but I need you to trust me." I say grabbing her hand as I winked as she smiled and rubbed my hand back. I know, she knows exactly who I was thinking of .

Later that morning I get a surprising knock on my door, it was Daryl.

"What do you want Dixon?" I ask in a sort of condescending tone  as I let him in

"Gonna go out for the day, was wonderin' if you can be my back up?" He asks looking right at me

"Yeah, but before we leave let me tell Carol to pick up the kids from home schooling and to watch them till we get back." I say as I grab my to go bag and he nods

Afternoon

Daryl and I ended up at a cabin, it was nice, cozy and clean.

"What exactly are we doing here?" I ask him curiously

"I just needed to be alone with you is all." He says nonchalantly "this is where Leah and I stayed. This is where I was after we lost Rick, I stayed here with her."

"Was she your girlfriend?" I ask as I sat on the recliner

"Yeah, and at one point I considered her as my potential wife." He tells me catching me completely off guard as my jaw dropped and he began to tell me everything about her.
