Ericka's pov
As I once again walk back to my place after meeting King Ezekiel, I felt defeated. He said Daryl and I were very persuasive but he doesn't want to lose anybody else from his group, I yelled at him, "that we didn't wanna lose anyone either" and walked out.
"Hey you alright?" Daryl asked as I walked right passed him
" Ezekiel just told me no, he said you and I are persuasive but apparently not enough to make him grow some balls and fight. " I say in a pissed off tone
"I'm going to the hilltop tomorrow, can't be here much longer." He says to me
"Why? Cause of me or of Ezekiel?" I say a bit harshly
"A little of both." He says walking away leaving me more upset as I once again walk back to be with my husband
"What did Ezekiel, tell you?" Shane says as I entered through the front door while he's serving us baked potatoes courtesy of Jerry
"He doesn't wanna fight." I say sitting at the table running my hands through my hair
"You kiddin' me?" He asked a bit annoyed
"I wish, I was... what the hell are we gonna do now about the saviors? They still have the numbers against us." I say still upset
"Maybe I should speak with him?" Shane tells me catching me by surprise
"What can you say that Daryl and I haven't?" I question him
"That I can actually kill Negan, with a snap of a neck." He says right after I question him
"Sorry Amor but I mentioned that!.. I also mentioned if I weren't pregnant I could throw down as well." I tell him as I take a bite of my baked potatoe
"And what did he say after you told him that?... By the way take this, you forgot to take it this morning " He asked as he handed me my prenatal vitamin
"Thanks." I say taking the vitamin from him placing it in my mouth "He seemed impressed, like he's never heard that before."
"Cause it's true... I am the punisher after all." Shane says with a smirk causing me to almost spit my water out
"You talked with Jerry?" I say in a calmer tone now
"Sure did batgirl!" Shane tells me causing us both to laugh a bit "just wanted to lighten up the mood princess, you don't need to be stressed... I'll talk with him tomorrow ok?" He tells me taking my hand in his
"Daryl's going back to the hilltop tomorrow morning." I say taking another bite from my potatoe
"What if I talked to Daryl about you going with him?" Shane tells me now totally catching me by surprise
"Are you trying to get rid of me or something, Walsh?" I ask him
"I don't want you to go but you did promise you'd show member's of the hilltop how to use weapons, Ezekiel said no and if I can't change his mind then I'll make my way to the hilltop right away and be with you ... but I think you should keep your word and start training them now." He tells me sternly still holding my hand, looking me in the eyes
He did have a point. The people at Hilltop did need to learn, this would be a head start for them in case the saviors start shit again plus it's been a while since I heard my baby's heartbeat unfourtionatly there's no sonography here
"We'll just be separated for one day, right?" I ask my husband
"One day, one night." he says "after we get done eating, I'll look for Daryl and tell him to take you with him. I just nod at his response, Daryl wants nothing to do with me right now, how is this going to work? I think to myself
