Love Me Again (On Going Revisions)

Chapter 24

Gabriel came home late night that Saturday morning after a long day of work in the farm.
He's been very tired and exhausted so he proceeded to his room and threw his body on the bed. He fell asleep easily.

While Marian was in a London time (12 midnight PST) working for some clients presentation. She's in phone call with Mike for quite a few hours now when she keeps on yawning.

"You're already sleepyhead?" Mike asked

"Yeah, but I'm fine. I'll make coffee later." She replied still yawning.

"No one's there to make you one?" He asked

She shook her head. " Carmina must be tired from getting along with her old friends and Manang has been asleep na din, it's already 12 AM here so everyone must be on bed now." She added

"I wish I was there to make you one. Maybe were both sipping our coffee!" Mike said sadly.

"Hmmn! What's with that tone? I didn't find it sweet but cheesy" She frowned.

" I really miss you. I am really not used to the LDR set up since you're with me, you know that. " Mike jested.

"I know. Should I thank you for letting me go?"

"It's for the kids, I understand as long as it's not permanent."

"Sus! Don't worry I will be home soon, Need to fix some stuffs lang, for the kids." She assured.

" Okay, I know. But please ha for the kids lang." He joked.

"Sira, you're so funny. Syempre yun lang agenda ko dito. Anyway, please send me the reports so I can check and verify" She replied and then tried to shift the topic.

Then the conversations continue along as the night deepens and Marian is still facing her laptop screen but she keeps on yawning. She must really be tired of finalizing the preparations for her daughters birthday party which will be the day after tomorrow. But she need to finish the reports at the same time for the presentation the next day so she need to multi task and she's experienced with that.
Since Marian and Mike has been partner for couple of years before they become friends and then eventually lovers. Mike is very consistent and kind so it is not hard for her to like him. He's very understanding and Marian is always on top of his decisions.

Marian can't contain herself anymore, she fell in a nap wakes up from time to time. So she finally decided to lock her laptop and put on her slippers on and walk down heading the kitchen.

Gabriel wakes up from a long nap when he feels his tummy growl. For this day he only eat once and already feel that he has been very hungry. So he decided to take a shower and then put on only his robe while droplets of water fell from his hair . He heads down to the kitchen. The house was already dark and quiet, so everyone must be asleep.

He check the fridge to find some left over food but there's none. So he directed to the pantry.

Marian, heart beat fast when she hears a bang in the kitchen before she reaches the last steps of the stairs. She thought there was a theft peek in the house, so rattled and get something before walking towards the counter. She find the flower vase and hold this firmly ready to throw to someone she sees. She slowly walk in her tiptoed to ensure that no one's sees her coming.

Meanwhile, Gabriel finds a corned beef in the pantry so he takes it and started preparing the ingredients. He started to peel the onions and garlic. Then he get in again in the pantry to get some fresh eggs.

"Ibang klaseng magnanakaw to ha, ginutom at this hour" Marian shook her head upon reaching the counter. She can't believe what she saw.

Before she can move again she hears a steps coming out from the pantry. So she sneak behind the door holding the vase tightly. "Yari ka sakin" she confidently murmured.
