Chapter 12

The next morning Gabriel woke up with an ache on his right hand. He can't believe that the thing his afraid of is now happening to his life. He knows that Marian chose to ignore his question, so he wouldn't hurt of the fact the she doesn't love him anymore. But what hurt most, is to keep on expecting for the love that wasn't there anymore.

He slowly moved up and looked at his swollen fist, he massage it gently even if it still ached. When Marian walked out last night,and upon closing the door behind. Gabriel wasn't able to control his emotions, so he gone wild and punch the wall as much as he could. He released all his emotions, his pains and heart ache on the wall until it finally bleeds. He cried out loud, questioning himself if he deserved all the punishments where he himself did it already for so many years.

Marian and Gabriel left the condominium at around 7 in the morning, earlier to what they expect. They took their breakfast separately, both were quite and discreet and no one wants to start a conversation. When Gabriel took a glanced at her, Marian will turn around or shift her attention to her phone. She didn't allowed herself to meet his eyes. While Gabriel is hesitant to approach her because he's afraid that she might ignore him. Marian and Gabriel's environment is very cold, cold as the morning weather outside the place.

"Saan tayo ngayon pupunta?" Gabriel asked her hesitant if she will replied.

"Just drive me around Manila Hotel." She replied thriftily.

"Owwwkay." He replied and drove on their way to the said place.
Marian asked him to drop her off in the entrance and then he can leave her their alone. So, not to argue with her, Gabriel followed her instructions. He stopped the car in front of the Hotel entrance.

"Nasa parking lot lang ako if you needed me."

Marian bob her head without looking at him as she open the shotgun door, heading her way to the entrance.

Gabriel just heaved a sigh following her through his eyes until she finally faded in his gaze.

He waited for a minute before he finally leave the area.

"What! sinabi mo yun? How did,.. Ohhh my gosh. Anong reaction ni Gabriel?" Alice asked her, sounds so thrilled upon hearing Marian's story via the phone.

"Yeah! I didn't plan everything, it's just that we had an argument and he provoked me." She explained. "Hindi ko kasi napigilan ang sarili ko ng makita ko sila ni Monica. "

"Ah! Kaya pala."

"Anong kaya pala?"

"Nagseselos ka sa Monicang yun. Throughout this years insecure ka pa rin."

"Of course not! Ayoko lang na makita siya."

"Okay sabi mo eh. So pano yan, buti sinamahan ka pa rin ni Gabriel sa kabila ng mga masasakit na sinabi mo sa kanya."

"Kaya nga eh!" She heaved a sigh.

"Naguiguilty ka?"

"What do you think?"

"Sounds like."

"Naisip ko mabuti na rin siguro yun na malaman niya ng maaga na ayaw ko na and I want to end our connection. "

"Sigurado ka ba na yun ang gusto mo?" She asked worriedly, as a friend Alice knows everything.

"Dahil sa tingin ko ito ang pinaka tamang gawin, kaya Oo." She replied wiping the small tears on the left side of her eye. "Sige na, I have to go. Kakausapin ko lang yung manager ng Hotel.. Bye Alice." Marian said and hang up the phone.

Marian went inside the washroom to fix herself and headed straight to the ballroom to see the place and to talk to the manager for the Hotel. She watched herself for almost five minutes in front of the mirror remembering what had happened.
