"You sure your okay here?" Gabriel asked Marian as he place her luggage inside his room. They just finished eating their dinner and Marian has requested to take her rest right away.
"May magagawa pa ba ako? I don't even have a choice." She replied grinning, her eyes rolling. "And I can.... Okay na yan just put it there. Pwede kana lumabas at gusto ko nang magpahinga." She protested when Gabriel fixed the pillows and stuffs on her bed, he also get her bag and place it beside the small table.
When he was done, he ran his hand on his nape and speak. "Pasensiya kana ha? I didn't.."
"You didn't expect me to be here right?"
He nodded in response. "Kaya hindi ako nakapagprepare. If I was informed earlier. I could have asked Andie, so you could stay in the guest room."
"Okay lang ayoko rin naman makaabala pa, nakikitira lang naman ako dito diba? And I don't think you can do something." She greeted her teeth.... "Knowing you." she added silently so Gab wouldn't hear.
He sighed. "Just call me or Nay Dolores kung may kailangan kapa." He said as he stood by the door, ready to leave.
Marian didn't move until she felt the door that has been shut closed. As soon as he was gone she leaned against the door with her eyes closed. She can't believe that she's with him again after twelve years. She didn't even imagine that this day will come where they were talking as strangers.
When she opened her eyes the new environment give her a cold vibe as she walk toward the spacious room.
There were limited things inside, no furnitures, no traces of interior or even portraits but just his bed. She shook her head and mumbled. Maybe This is how his life inside this room. Lifeless!
She paced back and forth wondering what the hell she was doing here. After years of being apart with no communications, but now she's here staying inside her husband's room. To shift her attention, She tried to call Mike but he didn't even picked up and she's now pissed off until she decided to fix herself to take a rest.
------------------ "Pa?" Carmina nudge as she walks towards Gabriel who is busy cleaning his car.
"Hmmmn. Bakit anak?"
"Okay lang ba kung dito si Mama mag stay?"
He stopped and face her.
"I mean, kung okay lang ba sayo?" She released a heavy sigh. "Alam ko kasing hindi pa kayo okay. Hindi siya okay Pa! I'm sorry if I have nothing to do na maging okay kayo."
