"O mukhang nakabihis ka hija may lakad ka?" Nanay Dolores asked Marian as she approached the kitchen.

"Magkikita lang kami ni Alice tungkol dun sa preparations para sa birthday ng kambal."

"Ah! ilang araw nalang pala yun noh! Susunduin ka niya?" She asked again.

"Magpapahatid lang po sana ako kay Rowell, yung driver po nila Gab?."

"Naku! Wala si Rowell hija sinama ng kambal, pumunta sa Lola nila. Mamayang gabi o bukas pa ang uwi ng mga yun. Hindi ba nagpaalam sayo?"

Marian shook her head.

"Kaya pala nagpaalam sakin na sabihin sayo."

"Nabanggit sakin ni Carmina nung isang araw pero hindi ko alam na ngayon na pala yun."

"Hayaan mo na, Malaki na ang mga yun kaya na nila ang sarili nila."

"Oo nga po! Sige Nay tatawagan ko nalang muna si Alice na kung pwede sunduin niya ako dito." Marian get her phone inside her pocket and began to dial Alice's number when Nanay Dolores interrupt her.

"Pero kung gusto mo magpahatid, nandyan naman si Gabriel. Magaling na driver yan Pwede ka niyang ipag drive kung saan mo gusto. Bumisita lang yun sa farm, babalik na din yun Maya maya."

Marian just give her a smile and continued.

" Ah! Sige po I consider that option. Excuse me. "

Marian then dialled Alice number, it took five rings before she picked it up. However, her friend informed her that she can't fetch her because she had some errands to do. Marian, have no choice but to consider the old woman's suggestion and that is to asked Gabriel a favor. But How? So she release a deep sighed before walking back.

"Hmmmnn! Nay." Her voice with hesitation. She caught the old woman's attention.

"O! Nakausap mo na? Anong oras ka daw niya susunduin?" She said without looking at her. She's preparing the table for their breakfast.

Marian breathe in. "Hindi daw siya pwede eh. Andami ngang rason, kesyo daw may gagawin, kesyo daw ganito ganyan." She mumbled with disappointment.

"Baka naman hindi talaga pwede. Pamilyadong tao din yang si Alice diba?"

"Opo." She replied playing her phone.

"Hayaan mo na." She tapped her arm. "Kay Gabriel ka na lang magpamaneho at least nakakasigurado akong maayos ka. Ibinilin ka pa naman ng anak mo sakin."

She headed into the counter and looked at her then shift her attention to her phone.

"Nahihiya ka noh?"

She heaved a sighed then seated on the counter top.

"Pwede po ba Nay makiusap? Na kayo sana ang magsabi sa kanya para sakin. Parang hindi ko po kaya." Marian said shyly.

"Aling ang hindi mo kaya? Ang makasama siya o ang humingi ng pabor?"

"Pareho po."

"Ikaw talagang bata ka. O siya sige ako na ang bahala mamaya pagdating ni Gabriel na mag sabi. Ito magkape ka muna." The old woman handed her the cup of coffee.

"At sabayan mo na ako mag agahan."

"Salamat po." She took the cup and sipped it then followed her into the dining table. Then their conversation began while taking their breakfast.

Gabriel approach the doorway calling the old woman's name carrying with him the basket of fresh fruits and vegetables in both hands. He's thin white shirt was wet with sweat that shows his masculine body.
