Ch-16. *would you believe if i say we are only at ep. 5 🤨

A/n: when I re-watched the episode, I felt bad for Yui. Really.

But anyways.

I added fluf and lore in this chapter. With Subaru and slightly Shu(?)

Anim sung as he prepared some tea for himself, It was holiday today, everyone was at home and relaxed in their own way. Yui was doing fine as well now. She recovered quicker then any normal person could, and he respected that.

Not everyone can take up the constant bullying the brothers put her through, Anim certainly wouldn't. He felt guilty. Guilty because Yui was the only one suffering while he always seemed to run away, leaving her alone.

"Should... Let them?.." Anim muttered as he rubbed his neck. He didn't knew what to do, at one hand he could let the brothers drink his blood so they could stop bothering Yui, on the other.. He didn't wanted to. He was selfish.. He always have been.

His selfish thoughts were overpowering his guilt, saying that he should protect himself then only he would be able to protect Yui.

It was almost as if his mind was gaslighting him.

Anim poured the tea in the cup and went away with it, just like how he walked away from his problems. He sipped the tea, it didn't turn out good.

Anim sighed at his luck and looked out one of the windows of the Mansion, the window was located at the first floor, showing the beautiful view outside.

"Ha... " Anim chuckled about how ironic the things were. This mansion is beautiful, the people inside look amazing. But things that happen hear are horrendous, a nightmare. He drank some of the tea again as he saw Subaru outside.

He was about to call out to him but stopped when he noticed one other person. Subaru walked up to him with a sort of pissed expression. Anim wasn't able to clearly hear the whole conversation but the guy was called 'richter'.. There 'uncle?'

Anim shifted to get a better look at him, and he did. He suddenly felt wired flashs pass by his eyes as his ears began to buzz. It was hard standing up and he desperately held on to the window frame.

Anim clinched his heart as he dropped the tea cup as it shattered. He let out of a scream and a cry for help. Subaru, not being so far away, heard it and immediately turned to see Anim in that state.

He rushed to help the boy as he got inside through the window. "Anim? What is happening!?" He yelled as he held Anim's shoulder and shook them to take Anim out of his panic state.
