SAWAMURA'S P.O.V.

When I wake up the next morning, I roll over and see that Fuyuko's already awake. It's a weekend, so it's a bit unlike her, but I know she's been so stressed out about the wedding I hope it isn't causing her to lose sleep.

Today I am going out to see my friends around eleven this morning, so even though I've already slept in, I've got to get out of bed now.

I roll over to my side and grab my phone from the nightstand. Ever since Y/N and I were younger, we used to keep our phones beside our bed. I can remember we used to fall asleep with them in our bed and our mother would yell at us the next day. So, over time it became a bit of a habit for us to keep them on the table on the table beside our beds.

It was always worse for my sister though, 'cause she never kept a password for her phone because whenever she made one, she'd forget it. But it was pretty shitty luck. Mom would always add her own password when Y/N was 'grounded'.

Anyway, when I roll over to check my phone, I see that Y/N has sent me a message. But, when I unlock my phone to see what it is, I'm left awfully puzzled.

Y/N: Hey, I'm gonna be a bit late today. Tell the guys I'll get there when I can. Okay?

Seriously confused, I don't respond as I get out of bed. But while I slide my feet into my slippers, it's all I can think about. Why would Y/N text me that? We didn't have plans today, did we?

As I walk into the kitchen, I mindlessly kiss Fuyuko on the cheek and make my way to our coffee maker. From the moment I turn it on to the time I pour my cup, I can't stop thinking about it.

When I turn around to face Fuyuko again with furrowed eyebrows, she prevents me from getting by.

"What's going on with you, Sawamura? Why do you look like you've seen a ghost?" she asks nervously.

"Something my sister said to me. I can't really process what it means..." I whisper as my brain is only half interested in the conversation with my fiancée.

"Something Y/N said? Nothing bad about me I hope," she chuckles awkwardly.

For a second I'm pulled from my trance and gaze at her just as oddly. What is up with everyone today? Nothing that's happening makes any sense.

"Nah," I shake my head. "Hey, babe, I'm going to see the guys for a bit. I told you 'bout that, right?"

"Yeah," she replies a bit worriedly. "But, uh, are you sure you're up to it? You don't look so good..."

"I'm fine," I shake my head. "I think it'll help me clear my mind a bit, too."

"Alright," she hums as she watches me walk out of the kitchen. "Drive safe."

"I will. Call me if you need anything, baby."

"Okay," she calls out, despite me hardly even hearing her.

When I get to Sugawara's house, immediately they all notice that something is off about me. And when they begin to pry, I can't push their curiosity away.

Somehow, when they see the text that Y/N has sent, their curiosity skyrockets.

"You didn't invite Y/N to come over, right? Maybe that's what she's talking about," Asahi suggests.

"No, I think I'd remember inviting my sister. Especially since, you know, we're setting her up with Hinata," I shrug. "Where is he, by the way?"

"I don't know," Kageyama shakes his head. "I haven't heard from him since yesterday afternoon."

"You don't think-" Tanaka whispers

"No way, can't be," Nishinoya shakes his head.

"What?" I ask as I look over at them. "Did we invite Y/N or not?"

"I thought you said you'd know if you invited your sister," Asashi whispers, not wanting to be confrontational.

"You ever think that Hinata might be screwing your sister," Nishinoya blurts out.

"What the fuck, Noya," I scoff as I'm taken aback by his comment. "No, he's never even met Y/N before. He said that himself."

"Maybe he doesn't know it's your sister then," Tanaka agrees.

"What are you even saying?" I shake my head. "Do you two hear yourselves."

"It would make sense," Suga chimes in. "Can I see your phone again?"

When I hand over my phone to Suga, he reads the message that Y/N sent me aloud. "It kinda does sound possible, honestly," he agrees with the others as he passes me back my phone. "Maybe they met and he doesn't know she's your sister. Did you ever tell Y/N that it's Hinata she's going out with?"

"Well no..."

Tanaka and Nishinoya exchange a gross smirk that I wish I could unsee. As for the others, they all look over at me as though a very obvious joke just flew right over my head.

Just then, the doorbell rings, and Suga walks past me to answer it. But before he does, he puts his hand on my shoulder and pats it gently. "You should be happy. This is the best possible outcome. They'll both have a good time at the wedding."

"But there's just no way. It's not possible. Hinata can't be..."

"Can't be what?" his voice rings out in my ears. My heart drops to the pit of my stomach.

"Nothing," I shake my head. In an instant, I've made the decision not to tell him that he's going out with my sister without even knowing it. And thankfully, the other guys go along with it, too.

"We were just worried that something happened to you since you didn't show up," Suga plays along.

"Yeah, we didn't get a text or anything," Kageyama agrees.

"I sent one to Daichi. Didn't you get it?" he asks sincerely, just confirming my thoughts. He must've not even noticed that he was texting me from Y/N's phone. Damn my sister and her inability to remember a fucking password.

"No. Maybe it just didn't send."
