The following Friday you and Hinata agree to meet up for dinner. He graciously picks you up from your home, insisting since it's on his way to the restaurant anyhow, and even reaches across to open the door for you before you get in.
"Hey," you smile as you lean close to him and wrap your arms around his neck. "Nice to see you again."
"Same to you," he replies as you pull away.
"So, where are we going?" you then ask, reaching for your seatbelt at the same time.
"There's a new sushi place downtown I thought we could try," he suggests. "Do you eat sushi?"
"Yeah, of course I do," you smile. "And I'm starving, too."
The rest of the car ride, you both talk and keep up small conversations about the town, the changing weather, and whatever else happens to come up. Then, once he parks, the two of you walk over to the restaurant.
"Hi, reservation under Hinata," he smiles at the receptionist.
"Wow, you went all out with a reservation," you chuckle.
"Of course I did. Why wouldn't I?"
Despite the heat growing in your face, the receptionist guides you across the new restaurant and over toward your booth. Hinata allows you to choose your spot before sitting across from you.
The woman then hands you the menu before walking off, leaving the two of you to look over three pages of options.
"They've got so much on here," you comment as you begin to read down the list. "I haven't even heard of half this stuff before. I mean, have you ever had an uni roll before?"
"The sea urchin? No, but I think it's supposed to be good," he responds as he looks down at his menu.
Just then, your waitress comes over and takes your drink orders. She then notices the two of you looking over the sushi list and asks if you have any questions.
"Actually, I'm thinking of trying the sea urchin roll," you tell her. "Is it good?"
"One of my favorites," she smiles, "but if you're into trying something new, the tobiko roll is amazing."
"Feel like trying two new things?" you smile over at Hinata who nods in response.
"Can we get two of each?" he asks the waitress.
"Of course. Anything else?"
In almost the blink of an eye, your food arrives along with the four pieces of sushi.
"What should we try first?" you ask Hinata as you sit up in your seat. Your heart is beating fast as you look at the new seafood you've never tried before.
"You tell me," he responds, equally nervous.
"Hm, okay then let's go for the tobiko. It looks really colorful," you smile.
