"You're what?!" Sawamura exclaims as he tosses you into your old room and shuts the door behind him. "What's your point in lying like that? If you didn't want Hinata around, you could've just been polite until he left! And as for mom, what the fuck, Y/N?!"

"Yeah, I know how it looks," you grumble as you sit down on your bed, "but I didn't lie!"

"So you're telling me you just got married to some random stranger then? You're not making any sense," he grumbles.

"But that's what happened," you shrug. "I met him before, he wasn't a total stranger, so when he asked me I said yes 'cause I thought... I dunno, that it'd get mom off my ass."

"And what about Hinata? Did you not consider his feelings at all?" he begins to shout.

"No," you whisper, ashamed at your answer. "I was drunk and being stupid. I didn't consider anyone's feelings but my own, alright?"

"What the fuck is wrong with you?!" he grumbles as he sits down beside you.

"I don't know," you sigh, resting the side of your head on his shoulder. "I didn't mean for it to happen like that."

"Do you have the proof? If you were drunk maybe you didn't actually-"

"No, I have proof," you admit as you reach into your back pocket for your phone. You unlock it and share with him the same image you sent to Kotonoha. With his own eyes, he can see the marriage certificate and the photo of you and Adam at the drive-thru chapel.

"Jesus, who even is this guy?" he shakes his head.

"His name's Adam. Like I said, I met him before and he seemed really nice and sincere both times I met him so when he asked, I agreed without thinking."

"And how about now?" he then asks.

"What do you mean now?" you respond as you put your phone away and look up at him curiously.

"Well, now that you're, uh, married, how is he treating you?" he elaborates.

"Well, I haven't exactly seen him since that day," you chuckle awkwardly. "So I'm not sure."

"I can't believe you're think naïve, Y/N," he shakes his head. "You know you need to get divorced, right? This isn't a healthy relationship. It's not a relationship at all, actually."

"I know, but I don't know how," you sigh. "What do I do?"

"Well, you can start by texting him and saying that you don't want to be married to some guy you hardly know. Tell him it was a drunk mistake. He's probably thinking the same thing, you know."

"You're right, but that's also kind of the problem," you sigh.

"What do you mean?"

"I don't have his, uh, phone number," you smile like a dope up at him.

"Jesus Christ," he groans as he puts both his hands on his head. "Fine, let me think then. What do you know about him."

"Well, his name is-"

"Besides his first name, Y/N! I can't do anything with a common-ass name like Adam," he scoffs. "Do you know anything else?"

"He drives Uber. He said he lives around here, too... Wait, I've been to his house. I bet I can look at my account and trace the location of where the Uber picked me up!"

"You were at his house?" Sawamura grumbles, his eye twitching.

"Well duh, we are married, after all," you scoff.

"Wait a sec. Show me the picture again. The marriage certificate should have his full name on there," he exclaims.

Quickly, you do as he says and unlock your phone. "This certifies that Y/N and Adam are united in marriage..." he begins to then read aloud. "Goddammit, you went to some crappy ass chapel, Y/N. This piece of shit doesn't even have either of your last names on here."

"Well then do you think... I could maybe ignore that this whole thing even happened?" you ask curiously. "I mean, if I never see him again I could just pretend it never happened."

Sawamura sighs as he passes you back the phone. "And what about Hinata?" he asks. "I thought you liked him."

"I do, I did, but after all of this crap, I'm sure he'll be avoiding me for the rest of his life," you tell him.

"Seriously, Y/N, I don't know where your head is at these days," he sighs. "You always knew how to start some shit but you really stepped in it this time. If you like Hinata as much as I think you do, you shouldn't give up just because-"

"Just because I'm what, Sawamura? Married? How could he ever want to even see my face again?" you grumble, holding back tears like a child.

"Look, let's just take this one step at a time, okay? Let's deal with the husband. Then, if you want, we can talk about Hinata. Sound good?" he asks you as he puts his arm around your shoulder.

"Yeah, sounds good," you nod as you smile softly to yourself. You don't know what you'd do without your big brother around.

"I've got an idea," he then tells you, "Get some rest tonight and in the morning we'll meet up at the station. It's a Saturday so you don't have work, right?"

"No," you shake your head. "I'm free. Anything you need me to bring?"

"Just the certificate and the picture. Maybe we can get a fingerprint off the ring, too. We've got to use what we can to find out who this guy is."

"Okay," you nod as you let out a deep breath. "Thank you."

"Don't mention it. Let's just go back out there and try to get through the rest of this dinner without any more shouting."

"Good idea," you smile softly. "I could really go for some dessert right now, too."
