Only a few minutes later, you're climbing the staircase up to the second floor where your pink-haired friend lives. And when the door to her apartment is opened, the potent smell of caffeine and marijuana hits you like shot.
"Jesus, Faye, it reeks in here," you say as you walk in. You're used to the smell by now. The only time it doesn't reek in there is when she's on one of her 'I'm quitting cold turkey' where she cleans the house for a week and then proceeds to buy from Kotonoha again.
"Sorry, grandma," she giggles, already high as a kite.
"I'm guessing you're not here to smoke then," Kotonoha smiles up at you from where she's laying spread out across the couch.
"Actually, I wanted to run an idea past you guys, so maybe smoking wouldn't be a bad idea," you smile as you put your bag down.
Kotonoha nods to herself as she sits up and opens her pack of rolling paper. "Really?" Faye then hums at you as she sits beside her friend. "What is it? Cause we actually came up with a really good idea, too, and we think you'll be excited about it."
Before you answer, Kotonoha passes you the new joint she's just rolled. You quickly light it and take a smoke. "You've got me curious, now," you smile as you exhale. "Go first."
"Okay, well, we found you a date for the wedding," Faye tells you as she looks over at Kotonoha.
"Yeah. We met him when we went to go get this weed from our link. Pretty sure he's your type, too," Kotonoha nods as you pass the joint back to her.
"You didn't ask him out for me already, did you?" you ask worriedly.
"Don't worry, Y/N, we know better than to just ask a stranger to a wedding for our friend... but, uh..." she begins to trail off.
"What?" you ask, not putting two and two together by her stammering.
"Faye told Sawamura about him and apparently they're friends so your brother asked him out for you," she blurts out quickly, hoping your brain doesn't process it in time.
"What?! That fucking- Are you serious?" you gasp.
"Sorry, Y/N," Faye whispers apologetically.
"Jesus, Faye, I'm not mad at you. Sawamura's such a little shit. Obviously, he only fucking told the guy 'cause of mom."
"I don't get what the big deal is," Kotonoha shrugs. "Just get a date and make 'em happy. It's not like you ever need to see the guy again. And he'll be way better than any guy you just happen to run into on the street."
"That's the thing, you guys," you groan. "I did run into someone one street. He was super nice and I wanted to ask him to the wedding."
"Oh man, that's a fuckload of bad timing if ever I seen it," Kotonoha shakes her head.
"Maybe you can tell Sawamura you don't want to go out with that guy! It might not be too late," Faye tries to comfort you.
"I bet he already told the guy," you grumble. "Fucking hell. Noha, pass me the weed again, please."
SAWAMURA'S P.O.V.
When my doorbell rings, I walk over and answer it. Hinata stands on the other side, looking almost out of breath as if he just ran all the way here.
"Sorry I'm late," he huffs. "Time kinda got away from me. I didn't mean to take so long."
"It's alright," I smile as he walks in and I shut the door behind him.
"Alright? You were supposed to be here two hours ago with the stuff," Suga shakes his head. "Please tell me you got it."
"Yeah, I did, I just got a little distracted talking to these girls and then I went for coffee and-" Hinata begins to explain horribly before Suga cuts him off.
"Distracted talking to girls? What happened to 'I want to find a girlfriend even though I travel all the damn time'?"
"It wasn't like that. They were nice and we had some good conversations," Hinata shrugs. "I'm sorry I took so long."
As Hinata and I walk over to the group, he passes the bag of weed over to Suga and sits down beside him. So what'd I miss anyway?"
"Well here's what we have so far. We're leaving Friday, having happy hour at the hotel bar probably around 4:30," Suga begins.
"I made a reservation for dinner at The Continential for 7," Tsukishima adds.
"And then we can go to Bullet nightclub," Tanaka grins.
"Alright," Hinata nods as he looks over at me. "Are we sure it's alright that Daichi knows our plan, though?"
"It's alright, Hinata. I wanted to be part of the planning," I explain.
"Yeah, he doesn't want us planning anything he doesn't approve of," Noya laughs as he nudges Yamaguchi's arm. "But who knows what'll happen when we go out. Maybe you'll realize Fuyuko's not the one."
"C'mon, man, don't say that," I shake my head at what he's insinuating. "If she wasn't the one, I wouldn't be marrying her. But while we're on the subject, I think I found my sister a date that'll make my mom get off our backs."
"Really? You found some sucker to take your teacher-druggie of a sister to your wedding?" Suga chuckles to himself.
"Ya know, I don't think I've ever met your sister, Daichi," Hinata thinks aloud.
"No shit. You hardly ever see us anymore, dumbass," Kageyama grumbles to himself.
"Well that's why I was thinking, Hinata, maybe you'd take her... She's really not that bad. I mean, she's got a big personality and the loudest fucking mouth I've ever heard, but-"
"I don't think he'd have a problem with that," Noya laughs. "Hey, why can't I take your sister out?"
"No offense, Noya, but no way. I don't need to see you at all our family functions for the rest of my life," I tell him, causing the others to break out in laughter.
"Not cool, man," he sighs as he crosses his arms and pouts.
"So what do you say, Hinata, are you in? Please. For me?" I plead with him.
Hinata hesitates for a moment, and everyone in the room notices it at the same time.
"Got a girlfriend you're not telling us about, Shoyo?" Tanaka smirks.
"No," he shakes his head after looking startled for a moment. "No, of course not. I'll go with her. I think it'll be nice."
