Sunday, the following morning, you wake up in your childhood bed and instantly flash back to last night. Your eyes open suddenly when you remember just what kind of situation you left your brother in.

Immediately, you sit up and reach for your phone on the table beside your bed. You quickly unlock it and text Sawamura. You lay your head back against the wall and let out a sigh, hoping he's safe.

After waiting several minutes before deciding he's either dead or dead asleep, you pull the covers off of you and stand up.

When you get outside your room, you hear the smell of pancakes wafting from down the hall.

Still mostly tired from everything you had been through only a few hours ago, you sluggishly drag yourself into the kitchen. To your surprise, you find your mother flipping pancakes while your father sets the table.

"What's going on?" you ask as you lean up against the entrance of the room.

"Good morning, Y/N," your father smiles up at you as he places down four napkins.

"Morning," you nod politely as you pay close attention to what he's doing. "Is Sawamura here?"

"No, honey, of course not. Don't you remember asking him to house-sit last night because of the strange knocking on your door?" your mother asks worriedly.

"Yeah, I, uh, of course I do. Is he coming for breakfast this morning then?" you continue to search for answers.

"Well why don't you give him a call and find out?" your father asks.

"He hasn't answered my text from a few minutes ago," you sigh as you look down at your phone. Still no new notification from him.

"Well call anyway," your mother waves as she continues to flip the pancakes over. "Maybe he's asleep. He'll answer the phone though."

"Okay," you nod, trying to be hopeful.

Upon unlocking your phone and clicking Sawamura's contact, you raise the phone to your ear and wait for it to begin ringing.

"Hello?" Sawamura answers in a panic. "Y/N, is everything alright? Mom and dad okay?"

"Yeah, I didn't have any nightmares, thanks for asking. Sawamura, I'm here with mom and dad. They want to know if you'll be coming for breakfast. Mom's making pancakes," you tell him, mouth beginning to water at the thought.

"Y/N, I don't know if you're talking in code or what but I didn't sleep a fucking wink last night. Fuyuko texted me. She knows, Y/N, and she said if I told anyone or do anything, she'd go after the three of you."

"Oh, you can't make it. That's okay, maybe I can bring some to you later," you hum as you turn to walk out of the room. Talking in code is too much work.

"Get backup, Y/N. We can't go to the cops, but find someone to help. Someone that Fuyuko doesn't know well. And don't be an idiot and come here. Trust me, I'll be okay as long as I stay where I am."

"Sawamura," you whisper as you make your way back down the hall to your room. "I can't do this. Not without you!"

"Yes you can," he assures you. "Y/N, I'm only a phone call away if you need me. You can do this."

"Fuck getting married," you grumble into the phone. "Fine. I'll figure this out. Eat what you want from the fridge. Let me know if you need anything else. And if you're in trouble, call me right away. Okay?"

"I will," he agrees. "Good luck, Y/N."

"Thanks," you whisper. "Stay safe."

When you hang up the phone, you head back to the kitchen with a loss of appetite.

"So now Sawamura then?" your dad asks as he sits down at the table.

"Sorry, he said someone did knock on the door and he's waiting to see if they come back. Apparently, it was some kind of ding dong ditch last time so he wants to catch whoever it is now," you shrug.

"Okay, well then let's eat just the three of us," your mother nods as she places two plates on the table. One for your dad. One for you.

While the three of you eat, you're quiet. When they talk to you or ask you something, you answer politely, but don't keep the conversation going for long. All you can think of is poor Sawamura and how the hell you're going to get back at that bitch Fuyuko.

Just then, as you're sitting at the table, it hits you. Someone Fuyuko doesn't know well. Someone you can trust. The answer's quite obvious who he was hinting at. Hinata.

You feel quite torn when you return to your room and sit at the edge of your bed. Of course, Hinata is the perfect choice. He's trustworthy, strong, and loyal. The perfect choice. But your stomach churns at the thought of seeing him again after everything that happened at the wedding and the family dinner when he found out you were married.

But dammit, if not him, then who? You curse to yourself quietly as you unlock your phone and click on his contact.

You watch the phone as it rings from down in your lap until you hear a quiet "Hello? Y/N?"

Your stomach clenches even harder when you hear him use your name.

"Hey," you respond softly as you place the phone against your ear. "I know I don't really have the right to ask this of you, but I need your help. Sawamura's in trouble."

"Seriously? What happened?!" he asks worriedly. "Are you okay? Where are you?"

"I'm fine. I'm at my parents' house. My brother and I found out that his wife and my, uh, unfortunate husband, are plotting something against the two of us. I'll explain it more, but can I come over and see you?"

"Of course. You remember where I live, right?" he asks sincerely.

"Yes. I'll be there in twenty minutes."

"See you then," he replies before hanging up.

You then quickly get yourself dressed and ready to go out. You give your parents a quick goodbye before hopping in an Uber.

The second that Hinata opens the door, you wrap your arms around him and pull yourself close to his chest.

"I'm so sorry," you whisper quietly. "I didn't mean for any of this. I beg of you to let me explain."

"You beg me?" he teases. When you look up, you see him smirking and you push yourself off from his chest.

"Not the time," you shake your head.

"Then come in," he hums as he steps inside. "Tell me what's going on."
