"Nice work, you two," Tanaka smiles as he shakes both of your hands. "I'm really appreciative of all you've done for us. Without you, I don't know what would've happened."

"More people would have died," you shrug in response.

"That's the one thing I do know for sure," he nods. "Oh, but that reminds me. Y/N, I've got those divorce papers for you."

Your eyes light up as you watch Tanaka grab a stack of papers from the reception desk.

"Seriously?!" you smile, half shocked that he actually got them completed so quickly. "You actually managed to-"

"Of course I did," he replies as he hands you the papers. "You did me a solid, Y/N. It's only fair I return the favor."

"So what do I do?" you ask as you thumb through the pages.

"Just sign. I marked all the spots with blue pen," he tells you as he grabs a pen from the reception desk. "Once you've signed it, it'll be official."

You smile as you look over at Hinata. "This is it," you tell him. "The end of my marriage."

"Three cheers for divorce," he chuckles. "You deserve it, Y/N."

After nodding at him, you look back down at the papers and begin to sign them one by one.

"Three cheers..." Tanaka mutters to Hinata as you go through the pages. "Why does something like that sound so familiar."

"It was Bokuto's catchphrase in high school, remember? He'd always say 'hey, hey, hey' whenever we walked into the same room as him.

"Oh yeah," he hums as he recalls the past. "I forgot we all went to high school together. Hey, did you ever go to the same school as us, Y/N?" Tanaka then asks you.

"No," you shake your head. "That's why I didn't even know Hinata until recently. My parents had me at Shiratorizawa instead of Karasuno like Daichi."

"Aw man, that sucks," Tanaka shakes his head. "You had to deal with those jerks there, too, huh?"

"They weren't that bad," Hinata insists.

"No, they were," you shake your head. "I remember this one guy who'd ignore me every time I tried talking to him. What stuck-up assholes."

"Maybe they were just nervous to talk to you," Hinata shrugs.

"Yet another thing I like about you, Shoyo," you sigh as you close the pen and hand it back to the receptionist. "You never fail to see the good in people."

"That's for sure," Tanaka nods in agreement as you hand him the papers. "But you two go home now. I'll deal with the rest of this paperwork."

"Will do. Thanks again Tanaka," Hinata smiles and nods at his friend.

"Don't mention it. Have a good night, kids," he waves.

"Night, Tanaka," you hum as you reach for Hinata's hand.

"Ready to go?" Hinata then asks you.

"Whenever you are."

The two of you then walk back to Hinata's car together. He opens the car door for you and waits until you get in to shut the door behind you, just as he's done most other times.

When Hinata gets in the car, your stomach begins to tie up in knots. Now that everything's over, you've finally got to talk about the things that happened in the past. You can't just go on ignoring them as though they never happened.

"Shoyo," you call quietly as you look over at him. "I'm really sorry. For starters, I'm sorry for dragging you into all this bullshit but more importantly, I'm sorry for everything that happened before that," you explain, looking sincerely into his eyes.

"Y/N, thank you for that," he replies to you as he lifts his hand to your cheek. "I'm really glad you've opened up to me about everything. I really thought..."

"I know," you agree before he even needs to explain himself. "For a while, I didn't think I'd ever see you again."

"Well," Hinata smile at you, "since everything did turn out so perfectly in the end, think you'd like to come back to my place?"

"How could I say no?" you grin back at him.

"Sounds good," he nods as he reaches toward the gear stick. "Then let's go."

Along the way, you and Hinata have a few lighthearted conversations. He tells you a bit about his job as an event planner, too, which makes you wonder just how long he's planning to stay in Japan. You already knew that he traveled around a lot, but does he plan on staying in Japan? Or will he be off to another country by the end of the month?

When the car parks outside of Hinata's house, your mind jumps back to reality. You quietly unbuckle your seatbelt and gather your things before stepping out of the car.

"Are you hungry?" Hinata asks as he shuts his car door and walks around to you.

"Not really," you admit to him while you both walk toward his front door. "I think I lost my appetite, to be honest. Do you mind if we just hang out for a bit?"

"Yeah, that's perfectly okay," he assures you as he unlocks his door. "Hey, I heard that new show's premiering on Netflix. You wanna binge it together?" he grins.

"You mean until we pass out?" you chuckle as you step into his house. "I can't imagine anything better."

"You go sit down then. The remote should be on the table. I'll go get some popcorn for us," he smiles. "Anything to drink?"

"I could go for a glass of wine," you nod. "Is that okay?"

"All you need to do is ask," he replies. "Go relax. I'll be right there."

Only a few moments after you set up the television and got yourself settled in, Hinata comes over with the popcorn, a bottle of wine, and two empty glasses.

"Here we are," he hums happily as he sits down beside you. "Oh, you found the show already! You can start it when you're ready. I'll pop this bottle and get the drinks going."

With a smile on your face, you turn on the television and wait for Hinata to gently hand over the wine glass to you. "Cheers," he hums. "To you, for being the brave and amazing person that you are! I wouldn't be sitting here without you, Y/N."
