The Fallen Egg

I got this idea while I was making scrambled eggs and I dropped an egg. So random but I lowkey loved the idea.

Marinette and Adrien were sitting on the couch at Marinette's house. Adrien had come to visit her to help her with their tomorrow's physics exam. Adrien was amazing at it but Marinette hated physics with a passion. 

They were both in the living room and neither of her parents was home since they had to drop off some deliveries. So they could study in peace, well, what you call study. 

Adrien looked away from his book to look at his girlfriend and saw her scrolling through Pinterest. "Babe!" He exclaimed. She flinched a little before looking at him innocently. "What?" 

Adrien shook his head and put the book away. "You're supposed to be studying." He told her. Marinette groaned and leaned her head back. "But this is so boring and it's lunchtime so time for a break." She said as she threw her phone away and got up. Adrien chuckled. "That's very good cause I'm actually a little hungry." 

Marinette laughed as she walked to the kitchen before looking back at him. "You're always hungry." She told him. Adrien got up and followed her to the kitchen. "Uhm that's not true." Marinette looked at him again and raised an eyebrow. Adrien glared. "Shush." 

Marinette waited until he stood beside her before she reached up to kiss his cheek. "I'm messing with you. What would you like to eat?" She asked him. 

Adrien stood behind her, holding her hips as she looked into the refrigerator. "Uhm maybe some scrambled eggs with bacon." Marinette looked up and smiled. "Sounds good." She said and kissed him. She grabbed the stuff she needed and put them on the kitchen island. 

"Can I help?" He asked. Marinette nodded and grabbed him a bowl, some eggs, and milk. "You can put these eggs and a little milk in the bowl. Meanwhile, I'll bake the bacon." She smiled. Adrien grabbed the stuff from her and placed a kiss on her forehead. "Got it!"

Marinette was checking on the bacon when she suddenly felt something beside her. Her boyfriend wrapped both his arms around her and placed a kiss on her cheek before moving to her neck. Marinette giggled and tried to move away. "Adrien! Stop, I'll burn our bacon." She exclaimed. She moved her elbow behind her and nudged him in the ribs. Not too hard but enough so he moves away. 

She suddenly heard something drop behind her. Adrien and she first looked at each other. She saw his eyes wide open which caused her to worry. She raised her eyebrow and narrowed her eyes. "What did you do?" She dared to ask before she looked at the ground and saw the broken egg there. 

Marinette shook her head and laughed a little. "How even?" She exclaimed before she bent down to pick up the broken shell. "I'm sorry! I forgot to put down the egg before I hugged you." He explained as he grabbed some paper to wipe the floor clear. Marinette threw the shells in the garbage, laughing. "You're so dumb sometimes. You know that?"

Adrien pouted. "Rude." Marinette wiggled her eyebrows and walked towards him to stand up on her toes and kiss him. "I still love you." She declared. Adrien scoffed. "You better." He said before kissing her lips again. They both melted into the kiss before a weird smell entered their nose. They pulled away and looked beside them. "Shit! The bacon!" Marinette exclaimed, rushing to get it. 

A couple of days later, Marinette was laying on her chair with her laptop on her lap. The exams had finally finished and she was feeling really nervous about tomorrow because then she would get her results back. 

There was a knock on her trapdoor before she yelled to come in. The door opened and Adrien appeared. Marinette eyes lit up as she saw her boyfriend come in. "Hey! What are you doing here?" She asked as he walked towards her. He was holding a bag inside one of his hands and she immediately got curious. "What's in the bag?" She asked.

Adrien chuckled and smirked down at her as he placed the bag down gently before he leaned down to kiss her. "So impatient." He tutted her. Marinette scoffed and playfully rolled her eyes. "I thought you already knew that about me." She teased him. Adrien raised his eyebrows and laughed. "Yes, that's true." 

He bent down again and reached into the bag before grabbing out one single egg. He held it out to her proudly like he won a trophy. Marinette laughed, confused. "What? Why did you get me an egg?" She asked before she took it out of his hand. "You're not grateful?" He asked with a slightly teasing tone in his voice. "I am! I just don't really know what to say when you're boyfriend gives you an egg." 

Adrien bends through his knees so he's eye to eye with her. "Well, I broke one of your eggs so now I'm returning it." Marinette smiled and placed one of her hands on his cheek. "You're too wholesome for this world." She told him before they kissed again. They both pulled away with love-sick grins on their face. 

"Did u really just buy one egg?" She asked. Adrien laughed and shook his head. "Of course not! I bought a whole cardboard but just grabbed one out to show you." He explained before he showed her it. Marinette giggled and grabbed it out of his hands. "Do you want me to make eggs from it?" Adrien nodded excitedly. 

"Okay but no more dropping eggs!" She warned him. "Oh please! I said I was sorry." He yelled back only causing her laughter to fill the house.
