Adora didn't know what to say to calm herself and Catra down. Last time they were separated. Last time Catra was so tired, so exhausted from the pregnancy and she wasn't there to help her. She felt guilty. With these thoughts she didn't realise when she got to the twins in the backyard. Her eyes looked at them. Her serious face turned into a smile. "Good morning kiddos! how did you sleep last night?" She approached their bed and brushed Jack's hair
"Lena didn't give my dagger back...!" The boy pouted but the girl only rolled her eyes. She was playing around and Adora knew it. She didn't carry her dagger either so she wouldn't make her mom mad.
"Agh let's practice, I'll give you the dagger later okay?- I promise!" Lena puffed as she looked at the older one.
Adora sighed softly, running a hand through her hair "Lena, hun you need to give him his dagger back after this, okay?" She gave them a soft smile then "Lena, speaking of which, how about you show me that trick of yours?" She was honestly curious.
"mhm! I will just stay there" She hummed and focused for a second while holding her sword. The girl was just stabbing the air with the moves she showed her as per usual but this time after another swing she could see the blade slowly getting a purple mist around it. The dark colour only made the little girl smile more and cheered "My hands had this yesterday too. I don't know why but isn't it cool?"
The boy looked up at his mother as he also mentioned "I practised with her but it ...melted my sword's blade when it touched it.."
Adora paused, this mist ...this colour only brought her memories of Shadow weaver and... clearly Adora didn't have dark magic for the girl to be able to have. She hesitated before she knelt down "Lena how long could you do this? and why didn't you tell me sooner? This is magic, Lena." She took a deep breath "I um.. I'll call a mage, I guess to see what we can do to teach you"
"I noticed that recently ,mother.... I told you I just learnt that I can focus on it and show it ...is it something bad?" The girl noticed the look in her eyes and her smile faded as she placed her hands behind her back "Why can't you teach me? Mom says you're the best warrior..." She didn't want to have a random mage to teach her... Her mom was the best to do so.
The mother, though, shook her head "With a blade, not with magic... at least not this kind of magic. It's- it's not bad, baby, don't worry.. just-... you need to learn to control it. Trust me... and besides we need to figure out just what exactly you can do" she smiled gently, cupping her cheek then "you aren't in trouble, okay?"
The girl was hesitant. She didn't want to be in trouble but her mother's look was so puzzled that she couldn't help but feel anxious "I... Feel like I am... I won't do it if it's bad, really, I promise" The girl sighed and looked up at her only to take a step back. The boy didn't speak since he wanted to just figure out what was happening to her as well and she could do it.
"no, no baby it's not bad I promise." Adora kissed her forehead again, letting her go.
"If she can do it, why can't I?" Jack questioned the older one as she shook her head
