The guards knew the woman needed time, seeing such things was kind of usual these days but it was as painful as always. A woman from the guards who managed to find the strength to step out couldn't speak yet. The wolves were already out and the night would be long if they stayed out for more. She wanted to show her somehow that she had to stand on her feet and go back home. Even if the child was dead. Obviously the feline was still worried sick ,pacing down the hall while her governess was trying to calm her down. What took Adora so long? But on the other hand ...it was a large forest, could she even find Lena?
The warrior grabbed the knife tightly in one hand, the other holding her daughter's body. She climbed up onto her horse, though she didn't say anything as she rode back. By the time she got back to the entrance of the castle, tears were rolling down her face once more and she got off her horse. Her body was covered in her own daughter's blood, hands shaking. Now that she was home she didn't know what to do, so she just stood there. Her daughter's body was in her arms. She was cradling her close as if she was still alive, as if she could still feel.
Catra heard the horses running back to the palace as she ran down the stairs. Her governess was behind her but at the first sight she froze. Her eyes looked at her. Lena's body seemed to be numb but she didn't know if Adora healed her. The first step was hesitant but the rest were quick to approach the woman. "A-.. Adora what..what happened. Did you heal her? Did she lose too much blood?" The feline already felt like she knew the answer but she didn't want to hear that. She wanted to know that she healed her, that Lena would be okay after one... Two days... Even a week. She turned around and ordered a servant to go bring the doctor as they ran away. "Tell me she's going to be alright ...please" She didn't even see where she was hurt since Adora held her tight in her embrace.
The other woman just teared up again. She couldn't tell her. Couldn't get herself to say it so all she did was shake her head, hesitating before she moved her arm so she could see. "I couldn't- I-I tried-... I-.. I was too late..." she started sobbing again, lowering her head "b-brightmoon.. they-... t-they.."
The feline widened her eyes ,ears twitched back. She didn't even know how she found the strength to stand straight at the moment but she did and a hand reached up to cup Lena's cheek. Her breaths became shaky and her eyes flickered from looking at her wife to the child again. "No...... No you can heal her... I .. I know you can Adora... Heal her. Do it please. I - I know you can't let her go. Not now. Please..!" Catra glared, desperately trying to make Adora try again. She clung to her clothes, tears rolling down her face while pushing just a little bit the blonde. "Heal her!! Why can't you!? You can do everything!" She almost cried out.
The governess walked closer ,her hand touching Catra's shoulder as the doctor arrived, running. The man looked up at them as the older woman spoke "We have to take her in... Please, lady Adora, can I take her to the couch? You'll come with me and the doctor of course" She couldn't cry ,this moment was for the couple to mourn not her too so she had to be strong for Catra and Catra could be strong for her wife.
"I already tried.. Catra I already tried.." Adora stepped back when her wife pushed her, just looking down as she cried softly "I failed... I failed her.. I failed you... I-I failed our son.. I'm so sorry..." She looked away when the governess spoke, hesitating before she replied "I'm carrying her... I'll-.. I'll take her..."
"And you dare to speak!?! My daughter is dead because Shera can't heal!" The brunette cried out, her pain turned into anger as the woman hissed at her wife. Even though the governess tried to make space for the warrior to walk and mainly calm Catra down she failed. The feline cried and gasped. Her knees were weak. When the other had to walk inside she knelt down. Her cries were low but her voice still cracked and sobbed. "Please...Please bring her back... I want her... I want my child back!" She cried out, her hands held on her leg begging the blonde to bring her back as the older woman tried to pull her up.
