After the conversation Adora had with Daniella the elf left the room and Adora stayed behind to take a bath and talk to Catra.

The queen would return to the room after half an hour and close the door behind her letting the maid help her with her corset. The room was empty but she heard the water from inside the bathtub.

Adora was soaking in the bath. She was sinking into the water, holding her head underwater for a short amount of time before bringing it back up to get her hair wet and letting out a soft sigh. Hearing Catra come in though, she decided to hurry up with her bath as she took a deep breath. She walked out in a basic tunic and slacks, walking over to her and wrapping her arms around her waist. She then hugged her close and kissed her shoulder and neck gently before speaking. "I'm sorry, my love... what I was trying to say.. it came out wrong. I didn't mean to insult you and I'm sorry that I inadvertently did. When you're ready for bed can we try.. just talking this out? No yelling. No arguing. Just.. talking?"

The girl closed her eyes while taking a deep breath and letting out a sigh at the kisses. "I guess....... I'm just tired so ...why not" She huffed and let the maid undo her hair after apologising for the knight to move away from her back. She bowed deeply and undid her shifts before letting her with her woollen shift and socks. Once the maid left the feline walked towards the bed and slid under the covers only to nuzzle under the warmth of the bed ,almost making a nest of pillows and the blanket.

Adora smiled softly when she saw her wife make the nest, walking up and laying down behind her. She wrapped an arm around her and pulled her close. "Can I talk first? or would you prefer to talk first?"

"yeah... You can" She purred against the pillow or... Was it because she held her? Nobody could tell. Her eyes closed and she nuzzled while holding her pillow close to her body.

The knight paused for a moment to gather her thoughts "neither of us had a good childhood. And.. I can't say that one was worse than the other. But it was pretty shitty. It was a different situation and we both came out of it in different ways with different results." she paused before adding "I.. was lucky, picked up before I was a true adult and showed love, showed a family." She took a deep breath "you.. you weren't. At least not including Daniella. I... we came out differently, different beliefs, different goals..." she sighed "you didn't get the love you deserved. You didn't get the attention, the time to just.. be a kid and... I do not mean this as an insult, nor do I mean for this to hurt you but I think because of that it made it harder for you to connect with them. It made it harder for you to treat them differently than how you were treated. At least so radically different. I am not saying you are Light Spinner, nor am I saying that you ever will be her. But.. I think you need to realise that.. kids need to have fun. They don't always need a parent. Sometimes they need a friend, someone to confide in, someone they can trust who will listen to them. And.. sometimes they just need a play buddy. Someone who they know they can joke around and have fun with" she rubbed her sides gently. "I've tried to be all of that for them but they need you too. I know you never got that as a child. I didn't until I was eighteen, so I at least understand a little.... and I... I want to show you. If it's okay. Once the kids aren't sick.. I want to take a trip. Forget about the snow, forget about how cold it is. Just go out to have fun"

"the kids will get sick again.. probably we will too.. I don't want them to be sick even if they had fun playing outdoors ,Adora.... They are young. Even people older than us or people around our age are dying because of fever. You tend to take everything too lightly and never get worried about anything." Catra huffed and closed her eyes while hiding her face on her chest. "I don't know what else to do. I can't play with them all the time.. I don't know what to teach them because they're both getting bored when I start to speak about the things they should learn while being a princess and a prince. Daniella told me they don't like history or mathematics.. What are they going to do? I don't even know if they want to play an instrument yet... They like nothing except for fighting" She hissed. Honestly she didn't know how to play in general. She didn't have knives or wooden swords. She had a doll which was just too old to do anything so all her childhood and teen years were about learning music or to write or.... The ranks of every royalty in the palace.
