Chapter XVI Just let go and fall like a little waterfall

Adora stepped behind Catra to let her lean her back against her. She nuzzled into her neck and pressed a few soft kisses there. Her hands rested on her stomach "my love.. I have a few questions.. If our baby turns out to be a magicat like you. We don't.. Really know anything about magicats and I have some questions.. If you don't mind me asking?"

The feline opened her eyes when she began to speak. Adora was thinking if that baby would be a magicat or not but Catra had to make sure she would be prepared for...both human or magicat child. Her ears twitched and she continued to lay on her while she was speaking "Of course you can ,Adora "

"How.. Well... how similar are they to normal kittens..? I know you two aren't the same, and I just want to know what to look forward to .."

"um.... We ....like to have warmth and...we have heats...we ....like ear and tail scratches" She teased "But no we don't have something special. We still like milk when we are little...I bet this baby will come out and be hungry all the time... I'm so hungry ..and I ate a few seconds ago.." She huffed, making her giggle and hug her closer while mumbling

"I was talking about the baby, my love. Like.. Will their eyes be closed? And if so.. Will they still recognize me as their mom..? Even if I don't.. Purr, or have fur.." That question made the feline giggle. Adora was too worried and Catra didn't want her to feel so stressed about it.

The girl turned her head to place a kiss on the corner of her lips "It will be alright! They will recognize you... Don't worry about that..my love" Catra kissed her lips again and cupped her cheek "They will have open eyes I ...think?" She continued. The blonde was so cute when she was worried.

Adora smiled back for a moment and hugged her close again still, mumbling "But what if they don't recognize me... I-... Am just.. Worried I guess. It's stupid, but I am.." She sighed softly and cupped her cheek.

The other woman slowly leaned close to her and nuzzled only to place her finger against her lips. "Hush they will..they can feel who their parents are....we have a scent which is... recognizable" She whispered.

The knight nodded. One part of her was still worried, but she made herself relax. She trusted Catra's reassurance as she held her before lifting her hand to gently take her wife's. She tilted her hand, pressing kisses from her palm to her wrist while mumbling "I am ..so in love with you.. I'm sorry I'm worrying so much. I just want everything to be perfect for you"

"I want that too.... I love you and I...really want to live the rest of my life with you... I can't even think of the possibility of you not being around when the baby will come..." She didn't know what she would do if she was all alone..without knowing if Adora was alive or dead...she just wished to be by her side forever "I want you to send me letters every day...but I know it's impossible...." She whined as the other hugged her closer and pulled her onto her lap, cradling her close

"Hey.. I'll send you a letter every single day. I promise. And if I can't, I'll have Bow send you one so you know I'm still alive" She held her close, humming softly "And I'll talk to Angella... One of my commanders can take over for me while I'm by your side"

"You can do that?... I mean... That would be amazing ...." Catra leaned closer and nuzzled with her ,purring against her skin and wrapping a tail around her. "I can't wait to see you again...and for the war to actually end.... I'm done with all this hatred, Adora ...my mother can't live in peace"

Adora didn't want to comment on the ways her mother was making peace with other kingdoms so .. she didn't answer immediately. Instead she raised a hand to brush her hair "Bow is my best friend and he likes you. He'll help me out... He understands. I think he and Glimmer have something going on, but.. Ah you didn't hear that from me." She chuckled softly, kissing her forehead.
