They all exit the bus and drive back to Mystic Falls. Once they get back to town, they are able to wake her up from the dagger before Toni gets back into town. Emilia and Toni meet for the first time and slowly become friends. 

Emilia and Kol become closer with time as they grow deeper connected and explore Emilia's powers. Eventually, Emilia learns how to control her fire-related powers with the help of Kol and Qetsiyah, before she finished settling her drama with Silas. With limited use and extreme desperation, Emilia can also influence people to act on theirs and her desires.

During this time, the others members of Mystic Falls found the cure, because Emilia and the other originals had little interest in wasting their times looking for or defending it. They had internal drama between themselves, which Klaus himself helped to create, and Elena still had not decided between Damon or Stefan. 

Eventually, Elijah also came back into town and began to connect with his favorite sister's soulmate. Additionally, Elijah had found a connection with one of the new werewolves who had visited Mystic Falls; however, Emilia had not met her yet as Kol wanted to show her New Orleans. 

Kol took Emilia to visit New Orleans when they were about to have their Harvest ritual. Emilia was appalled by the tradition and worked with Marcel to save all the girls before the ritual began. New Orleans witches who believed in the Harvest had started to come after the group, but with the help of the other Originals, they were warded away. While in town, Klaus met his soulmate in the form of a blonde therapist who helped him to understand and grow from his personal issues. At this point, Emilia had still never met her father.

After two years, Klaus and the therapist, Cami, accidentally had a baby, but they loved their daughter with their entire being. The rest of the family adored the baby girl, Hope, a name Cami had been thinking about using for years. However, with the baby eventually came Dahlia who tried taking the baby for herself. With Dahlia in town, Elijah and Hayley officially married, which let the Crescent pack have increased strength, durability, and ability to control their wolf form. 

At this point in time, Emilia finally met her dad for the first time when she was introduced to him by Qetsiyah for their wedding. It was an awkward encounter to put it lightly, but she started to trust him more when he demonstrated that he had similar powers to hers. Her father, Cade, explained that he had been looking at her mother as a potential siren, but then accidentally impregnated her. Cade showcased how he had always been looking out for her by her ability to cheat death multiple times. Eventually, Cade, Qetsiyah, and Emilia became close and helped calm Dahlia and force her into a deal and understanding, so that she could be there for Hope.

As more family members were introduced and tides kept changing in New Orleans, Kol and Emilia were able to stay strong and he finally proposed after Dahlia stopped being a threat. Kol's newfound sister, Freya, Qetsiyah, and Toni all helped Emilia to become fully immortal by replacing her human side with one similar to a vampire.

As a vampire, Emilia had too much control over herself and did not want to harm any human beings. Emilia would eat just enough to barely survive and even limited herself on blood bags. Kol eventually realized when she was becoming weak, pale, and couldn't use any of her abilities. He was horrified and immediately tried to find ways to help Emilia. After a long time, she eventually recovered by acknowledging and overcoming all her past guilt and trauma. While searching, Kol finally found a way to channel and use his magical nature with the help of Cade. The news surprised all of the Mikaelsons, but they both found out how to control their powers, defend their family, and find true companionship and love with one another.
