The rest of the week went by fast, and I assumed it was because of the plans Janey and I had for Friday night. We were in her room getting ready. "So what lie did you tell Martin and Diana?" I asked her. "Honestly, I didn't lie to my parents this time. I told them I was gunna hang out with you tonight and all they told me was be safe don't die." She said.

I nodded. "What time is the show Jane?" I asked her. "Nine, but we wanna get there early for the booze and a good view." She said. I nodded. I had on my black jeans, a black Harley Davison's tank top that had been torn and had a bunch of holes, my leather jacket, and of course my boots.

Janey looked at me and rolls her eyes. "Why can't you dress like me?" She asked. I looked at her. She wore a leopard print skirt, a belt, a white shirt that had a deep neck line and denim jacket. Along with her teased hair, her yellow hoop earrings and her makeup. We had similar styles that were more different than anything.

I looked at myself in her mirror. My hair was also teased, just not as tall and poofy as Janey's. My jeans, my favorite pair of jeans that fit me just right. I thought I looked hot.

"We both look hot, right?" I said. She sighed. "True." I smiled. "Alrighty let's go." We walked to the car and we went to the Whiskey. I was the only one of us who could drive. I just walked to and from school for the music. The serenity of things.

We got to the Whiskey and I opened the door. We sat at two bar stools and started ordering drinks. A song by Kiss was playing on the radio. I smiled as the bar tender handed Janie and I our drinks.

"You wanna know something Jane?" I asked her. She nodded. "I'm glad I came tonight. I-I really needed this after the whole Tod thing." I said. She smiled. "That's what I'm here for. Oh, and if you're thinking of having a one night stand or wanting to play with some poor guys heart, I recommend losing the leather jacket."

I laughed. "I will if I start to get too hot." That made both of us start laughing. We were three drinks in, feeling a bit tipsy, when the door opened. Four guys walked in. "Holy fuck, they're hot." Janey said as she grabbed my chin and turned my head to where she was looking.

My jaw dropped and she closed it for me. "Thanks Jane, but holy hell." I said staring at them. We watched as they all sat down at a table. "Fuck I need a cigarette." I said as I turned back towards Janey.

She laughed. I smoked a lot, a bad habit that I tired quitting more than once. I pulled out my cigarettes from my pocket along with some matches. I lit the cigarette and took a drag. "I still don't know how you can smoke those things." She said.

I shrugged. After my cigarette, I had to use the bathroom. "I'm using the restroom Janey, hold down the fort while I'm gone, kay?" I said as I got up and took off my leather jacket. Janey was on a very fine line of being shitfaced.

"Holy hell, LAURIE, your hot as shit! She yelled at me." I laughed and started walking to the bathroom. I passed the table of the guys Janey and I were fawning over earlier. They all looked at me and I smiled.

I looked back in front of me and continued to the bathroom. I did what I had to do and washed my hands. As I was walking out of the bathroom, I heard my favorite song start to play.  Photograph by Def Leppard.

I started smiling and dancing. Janey brought
me out to have fun. Fuck it, that's what I'll do. I danced past the table of dudes from earlier and one was smirking at me. When I reached Janey we started yelling and laughing the lyrics to each other. I handed the bartender some cash and asked for a bottle of Whiskey.

I grabbed the bottle and Janey's hand. We got up and started dancing and singing obnoxiously. "Oh, look what you've done to this rock n roll clown!" We yelled at each other. I took a drink from the bottle of whiskey and handed it to Janey, she doing the same.

I caught a glimpse of the guys at the table, they were staring at us in awe, smirking. "I think they like us Jane." I said as I slang my arm over her shoulders. The song ended and Janey and I were laughing our asses off where we stopped dancing.

"I wonder when the shows gunna start." I said to her as we walked back to the bar and taking our seats. "I dunno Laurie, I dunno." Janey said. We were sitting there, waiting for the band to play when the bar tender made two shots and handed them to us.

"Oh, we didn't order these." Janey said. "I know ladies, but those guys at that table over there wanted to buy them for you." He said pointing to the table where the guys were sat. I grabbed a shot and held it up and nodded at them.

They smiled and I downed it. Shortly after that, I watched as the guys that were sat at the table get up and walked onto the stage. "Janey, fucking look." I said, looking at the stage. "No fucking way." Janey said. I smiled and grabbed her hand. I dragged her to the front of the crowd.

"We're L.A. Guns, are you ready to fucking rock?" The lead singer said. Everyone in the crowd screamed with excitement, even Janie and I.

They were really good. After their show, Janey and I went back to the bar, ordering probably our last round of drinks. We were shit faced. "Janey, how d'you sssupdodes to get home?" I asked her. She leaned her head on my shoulder. "Laur, I-tthhought youuu drove." She said talking the way I did.

I looked in my hand. "Oh'yeeah, I have my keys." I said as I started to get up. I grabbed my leather jacket and struggled to put it on, eventually I did. I pulled Janey off the bar stool and we tripped over each other and our own feet as we tried to leave.

"Mmmmaybe we should walk." I said. Janey shook her head. I don't feeeel to good Laurie. As soon as we reached the door, I dropped my keys. "Shit." I said. I staggered and picked them up. We got outside and we stood there.

"Hey Jane?" I asked. "Yeah Laur?" She answered. "D'y'know where I parked the car?" I asked. She shook her head. We looked to the left of us and it was the band, L.A. Guns, they were the ones who ordered us those shots.

Before I knew it, Janey was going up to talk to them. I didn't care, I was too drunk to give a shit. I looked for my car and I found it. "JANEY, JANE, I FOUNND THE CAR BITCH." I said. She was still talking to the band when one of them walked over to me.

"You must be Laurie, your friend told me who you were." He said. "Janey's a Verrry sociable person, but we gotta get homeee." I slurred. He took my keys out of my hand. "Heyyy, those ermine!" I said. He shook his head.

"You and your friend are drunk and your too pretty to have your car get wrapped around a pole because of a few drinks." He said. I sighed in defeat. It was true. I grabbed Janey and we got into the back seat of my car while this dude we didn't know was driving my car to Janey's house.

For all we knew he was murderer.

"Where am I taking you guys?" He asked. I leaned over the chairs and rested my elbows on back of the passenger and drivers seat. "Who're youuuu?" I asked him.

"I'm Kelly, Kelly Nickels." He said. I laughed. "You've gotta girls name, man." Janey then told him her address. Her parents were on a business trip for her dad so they wouldn't be home till next Sunday.

We stopped outside of her house and she and I got out. Janey went ahead and went inside. "How are you suppose to get back t'ur band?" I asked Kelly. He laughed. "I'll figure it out." He said. I shook my head, you could stay, Janey's got a guest room." I said. He nodded and followed me inside.

"Kelly's staying here tonight." I told Janey. She was in her room, on her bed. She nodded, she was in the verge on passing out I was halfway there too. I showed him the guest room and I went to Janey's room, she was out. I started taking off my boots, throwing them where ever.

I then went to the living room and passed out. I wonder if Kelly would still be here when Janey and I woke up.
