It was Monday. At least I'd survive half the day with Janey at school and I'm hoping, hoping that Kelly decides to wait for me after I'm done in this hell hole. So until then? I survive this day of fuckery.
"Hey." Janey said with a small smile as she approached my locker as I got my books. "Hey." I replied back slowly. "You okay?" She questioned, picking up on my sluggish mood. I shook my head.
"I'm fucking exhausted." I told her honestly. "Why?" She asked as we both started walking down the hallway. "I forgot I had tests to study for." I told her as I put my head on her shoulder. "Damn, I'm sorry Laur." She said.
I told her thanks and took my head off her shoulder. Thankfully, she and I have our first hour together. So at least I'd be some what okay first thing this morning.
In our first class, we didn't do anything. The teacher told us that there was no point in doing anything, last week of school and all that shit.
I mentally thanked her. "We should hang out Friday." Janey said as we sat in our desks, facing each other. "Okay, but what would we do?" I questioned her.
She shrugged as she applied some lip gloss, handing it to me. "I don't know, we can figure that out later." She explained. I sighed okay as I handed her the lip gloss back.
The bell rang and Janey and I went our separate ways. First test of the day and it was for history. I fucking hate this class. It's not the subject, but the teacher, he's a dick.
He was always rude for no reason. He told us to move all of our stuff to the floor except for a pencil. He then started handing out the tests.
When he told us we could start I didn't hesitate to start answering the questions. This wasn't a hard test, probably because I fucking studied.
I finished the test before everyone else, so I got up and walked to the teachers desk. He gave me a look and rolled his eyes. "I'm assuming you didn't cheat?" He questioned.
"No, I don't have reason to." I answered. He then got snappy and said that I had an attitude and that I probably did cheat on the test. I scoffed and he sent me to the office.
So guess where I didn't go.
I had my stuff in my arms as I walked through the hallway and all the way to Janey's class. I stood by the door where the window on it was.
She saw me and she smiled. I then watched as she raised her hand. Eventually she was walking towards the door so I moved in front of the lockers.
"Let me guess, History is the reason why I asked Mrs. Alexander to use the bathroom?" She questioned as we walked to the wood shop room. I smiled. "Precisely."
We made it to the room and turned on the lights. We took our usual table and sat on it, facing each other.
Our school didn't have wood-shop anymore and hadn't for a long ass time. So the end of freshman year, Janey and I made it our ditch spot. "You want to know something weird?" I said to her.
"Besides all the other weird shit I already know? Of course." She said humorously. "I'm kind of going to miss this place." I told her.
She arched her eyebrows and looked at me skeptically. "Laurie honey, why the fuck would you miss this place?" She questioned genuinely. I shook my head. "I don't mean the School Jane, fuck that. I mean this, us here, this room, skipping classes." I explained.
"We'll still be friends after we graduate...if we go to the same college we could skip class there too." Janey said with a smile. I smiled too. She always said the right things when I was over thinking.
Appreciated her fucking greatfully for that.
Eventually the bell rang and we had to go our separate ways again. I walked to English while Janey walked to gym class.
Test number two was easy as hell and the teacher loved me. So as soon as the bell rang, I picked up my stuff, chased after Janey and we went to lunch.
"So, you think he'll show?" Janey asked as she put a chip in her mouth. I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know. He's in a band and I'm literally still in high school. What if he's just doing all this shit to fuck with me?" I questioned her.
"Then so be it, the point of these young lives of ours is to fuck around and have fun doing it." She replied. I laughed at her for that, sometimes, Janey and I sounded like the same person.
We talked about random things besides Kelly up until lunch ended.
Janey and I's last class was together as well. We did whatever we wanted to in that class, the teacher, he was chill as shit and didn't care what the fuck you did.
At the end of the day, I was Janey's locker waiting for her. Sometimes she'd walk home with me. And if Kelly wasn't gunna show, then I'd gladly have my best friend with me.
When she reached her locker she looked at me. "Still don't know if he's gunna show?" She asked curiously. I shrugged my shoulders. "I honestly doubt it." I told her, which in reality was false, I still didn't know if he'd show up, but I hoped he would.
After she got her things we started walked down the hallway when Tod came out of nowhere. "What do you want?" Janey questioned. "To see if Laurie will take me back." He said.
I was about to tell him to fuck off when people started looking at the door, I heard a motorcycle. "Laurie, please just talk to me." Tod said, making me bring my attention back to him.
I once again didn't get to say anything. Out of no where the whole hallway went quiet except for a few whispers and what sounded like boots walking on the floor. Janey shoved me lightly and I looked where she and seemingly everyone else was looking.
"Oh my god." I said with wide eyes. I told Kelly to wait outside for me. Not walk into the school. People gawked and looked at him as he walked up to where I stood. "Hey Laurie, Janey." He said, being nice to my friend.
I couldn't help but smile. Tod looked at me and then to Kelly confused. "Who are you?" Tod questioned him. Kelly smiled and looked at Janey, silently asking her to move. She did and Kelly took her place next to me, except he wrapped his arm around my waist and gently pulled me to him.
"I'm Kelly...Laurie's guy." He said. Janey's jaw dropped and people were shooting glances at us. Tod looked at me and then Kelly. "Wow, so your not even gonna fight for us?" Tod asked me, offended and disappointed.
I looked at him disgusted. He had shit twisted. "Why the fuck would I fight for us, when our whole relationship you cheated on me? Sorry, but I don't fight for cheaters." I told him, finally saying what I wanted to say to him.
"But c'mon this guys wearing girls clothes and has a girls name!" Tod said, trying to turn this into an actual yelling fest and not a light argument. I then got a wicked idea and smirked. "Yeah? Well at least he kisses me like a man and not a little boy who genuinely has no shot in hell of an idea of what he's doing with a girl." I shot back.
I turned to look at Kelly, a proud smile on his face. I heard some people go "oooo" as I embarrassed Tod. He didn't say anything, but I could see him start to tuck his tail between his legs. "Seriously, what does Jessica Hents see in you...wait I know, your money." I added.
People erupted in oooos again and Tod just stood there speechless. Kelly and I then decided it was time to go. We walked down the hallway with Janey close behind.
"You okay to walk alone?" I asked her. She smiled and nodded. I said bye to her and Kelly and I then got on his bike.
As he drove I couldn't help but think.
This shit is 100% getting back to my parents now. Fuck
(A/N: I love hate this chapter....some of the moments in it are a little to Wattpad-ish for my liking but I didn't know to write it. Besides that, I hope you enjoy this chapter. Also, can any of y'all help a girl out? I've been looking for Jani Lane stories but I can't find any, I'd appreciate if y'all could recommend me some. Thank you all, happy reading-Jaimie 🤙🦆)
