Akk POV

All the way to my dorm was thinking about that crackhead. Why is he like this? What the hell is wrong with him?

Somewhat I felt a little lonely, no one turned down to dorm. I am alone here. And I got a sense of homesickness. There is an unavoidable urge to call my parents.

I dialed my parents. "Hello"

"Hello, Akk. How are you?", my mom who picked up the phone asked me.

"Fine mom"

"How is school going? Are you having a lot of work to do?", there was a great sense of concern in her voice.

"It's fine mom. There are some works but not that much mom."

"When are you coming home?", she asked me

"After two weeks", I said.

"Okay. What is the matter Akk? What is bothering you?", she asked.

"I am fine."

"Just tell me. I am your mom and I know about my son"

"Mom, Am I good enough for everything?", I got a lot of self-doubts.

"Akk, what made you think like that? You are the best child I have ever known. You are the most responsible kid who knows what you have to do and you are doing your best. Continue doing the same. If you got self-doubts like this, Analyse your situation. But never let yourself drown, rise above."

I felt so motivated on hearing her voice. She is my energy tonic.

"Thank you, mom.", I thanked her.

"Just remember what I said, Okay"

"Bye mom", she ended the call.

I rethink what she said. Analyze the situation. Why did I get a feeling as if I am not worthy? I recalled the situations, 1. I got fewer marks than Ayan 2. I violated the rule of a School president and indulged in a fight with Ayan 3. I come to know Ayan was a school president too which is making me have self-doubts.

I was surprised to know in all the cases, Ayan was there. He is a depressing man who also likes to make others around him depressed.

Wat and Kahn entered the dorm. "Akk! Have you bought the snacks from the store?"

"Yes", I answered.

"Akk, why are you looking like you have lost something?"

"No, I am fine."

"Was that the Ayan thing?", Wat asked.

"No"

They talked some shit about him, and the atmosphere there changed. We were laughing at some jokes.

I did the homework for the day. And did few research on the university that I am going to learn.

That was my dream, to take political science at university. I had to maintain a consistent GPA and I want to brag about that scholarship too and the best outgoing student award too. There are a lot of things on my bucket list that I have to achieve.

The next day, It was social studies. "Good, morning students."

"Good morning mam"

"Students, I want you to do a group thesis on the currently trending topics of the world. Two members in a group.", she said.

There was chaos in choosing the partner for the project. And many were requesting 3 members. So mam jumped to a conclusion and said.

"Just pair with your bench mates. That's it. No more arguing."
