i tell kent that someone else has already asked me, planning on telling him that i don't like him in that way in private, and leave. i don't plan on telling bianca about this encounter as she will question why i didn't go with him, but of course, as he is her friend, she finds out almost instantly.

the door bursts open and bianca enters, not angry, but more shocked. "why did you reject kent?" she demands. i realise now that she was part of the group of people that shipped us. great. now she will never agree with me dating rowan. i decide to put it simply. "i don't like him."
"then why did you lead him on?" she says, still fiercely, but with less fire in her voice. "i didn't. i have spoken to him about 3 times in my life, and none outside of class. you guys were the ones assuming something was happening."
"oh." bianca says, defeated.

i continuously check all of the gossip blogs, and nothing about the incident is on them, so i think i am in the clear.
i head to sleep, putting todays events behind me, excited for rowan to finally come over tomorrow night.

the day drags on forever, partially because somehow the lessons are the most boring possible. the first lesson i have i am sat next to kent, so as soon as he sits down i apologise and tell him the truth. "hey kent, listen, you are a really great guy and all but i hardly know you and im not interested in you. im sorry if i led you on - i did not realise i was doing so"
"its alright - i felt pressured to ask you because of my friends. i honestly dont think i like you either, in that way, everything was just so confusing."

i remember what is happening tonight, so i look for rowan. but his seat is empty. fuck. i quickly pull my phone out, and message him under the desk.
Y/N: hey, you alright?
ROWAN: yeah just a headache
Y/N: are you still coming to mine later?
ROWAN: if you want me to
Y/N: of course i want you to!!

his replies seem a little off, but i blame it on his headache. still, its not like him to miss a day of school for a headache.
