Chapter 4: Hospitality Heart♡

After working at the bookstore, you and Giyuu went to your friend Rei's house.

Rei opened the door. "Hey, I see that you brought Giyuu with you! I am glad that you could make it..." Rei said.

"Thank you! Where Sky?" you asked.

"Oh, she's running a bit late as usual, typical Sky antics...." Rei shrugged as she guided you into her living room.

Rei's living room had a lot of plants, including palm trees behind the second couch and near the first couch. Both couches were olive-green, and she had a mixture of green and yellow pillows on the two sofas. A large bronze bowl had blankets on the side of the second couch, next to the small table. On the small table, she had some crystals, including a crystal ball. In the middle of the living room, Rei had a glass coffee table with a mosaic plate that was green but also blue and yellow. On the mosaic plate, there was a glass vase with all of the seashells she had collected at the shore in the vase. There were also some books on the coffee table that she had. The coffee table was next to the two green couches.

"Please make yourself at home!" Rei said.

"Thank you..." you said.

You sat down next to Giyuu on the side near the small table.

"What kind of tea do you want? I have Darjeeling First Flush Tea, Yorkshire, Raspberry Rose petal tea, and even herb teas," Rei said.

"The Darjeeling First Flush Tea sounds nice. I will take that," you said.

"Alright," Rei said. Rei turned to Giyuu.

"Green tea, if you have any...." Giyuu said as he sat down next to you.

"Of course!" Rei said happily.

There was a knock on Rei's door; Rei opened the door to see Sky and Maya.

"Maya?" Rei said in surprise. Rei turned to Sky to hear her explanation.

" I am sorry, but I told Maya about it; she wanted to come over as well....that's why I ran a little late...I had to pick her up...." Sky said as she fidgeted with her hands.

Rei sighed as Sky and Maya came in together; you stood up in shock to see Maya.

"Maya...it has been a while... almost three months...." you said.

"It hasn't been that long since we last spoke, and I heard the story from Sky...." Maya said as she walked into the living room to see you and Giyuu.

You sat down again next to Giyuu after standing to see Maya. Maya got a chair from the kitchen room and brought it into the living room. Maya then sat down in the chair and placed the chair across the second couch. She was facing you and Giyuu, sitting on the first couch.

"So, it seems that Sky wasn't lying....." Maya said.

The room seems tense; you didn't expect that Sky would tell Maya about it. Rei came in, luckily, brought the pressure down.

"Maya, you just had a long trip from New York City. I can make an Amor Herbal Tea for you," Rei said.

"Thank you, I also brought some stuff I made to your house. I made scones, macaroons, Tartes, and chocolates from Belgium...." Maya said as she pulled out the stuff she had brought from her adventures and handed it to Rei.

"Wow, are these Vosges Haut-Chocolat truffles?" Rei asked.

"Yes, there are! I got them while traveling as an ambassador to represent my company." Maya said, smiling.
