The trial came for Chris for the charges of what he did at the party. The jury deliberated for a long time about what crime and weighed their options for charges afterward—attempted murder, brandishing a knife, aggravated assault, and battery. There would be a separate trial for the murder of Michael, and they couldn't charge him for the same things. After the jury deliberated, they found that it accounted for all the charges, which seemed like a fair punishment.
After the trial, you researched more about the spell and Erika Baker. You wanted to find a way to see if you could reverse the spell, but not all of it. So it would take some work to figure out how to accomplish that.
As the days passed, you spent time with Giyuu going on dates, hanging out, and visiting your favorite places. However, a tiny part of you wanted to keep things the same, but that was wishful thinking.
It was almost three months since you screwed the spell; you thought,' time had gone by so fast; since then, a lot had changed....'
You grew incredibly attached to Giyuu over that time, and you did not want him to leave your side. The spell's after-effects made the situation worse over time. The blank page of the manga stressed people out. The anime studio, the reason why the studio was stressed out because they were animating the three-season anime when the spell happened, and they got stuck. The author stressed out because consistent harassment from the fans, including the manga critics, was having a field day. Things were getting a lot worse, many people were troubled by Shounen Jump's slow response to the manga, and the author had to apologize to everyone about the situation with the manga. You feel bad about it; technically, this was all your fault for this happening to the author. There would be news stories about the series being affected negatively by it. Even the anime studio wasn't safe from the backlash, the studio had to stop future production of Demon Slayer, and they had to go on hiatus until further notice, which made everything worse. Fans were enraged by the news, which trended on Twitter.
You knew in your heart this couldn't go any longer, but you also knew that you wanted to be Giyuu. You were willing to sacrifice to go with him to his world. You didn't dare tell anyone of that plan. You knew your friends would be against that choice. However, you didn't care about that. You were more willing to do that if it meant you started fresh and could not return to your world.
You were determined to be with Giyuu forever. You were willing to go that far enough, even if it meant never seeing your parents, family, and friends again. It also meant you had to brush up on Japanese and prepare for it. You had transferred your bank accounts and records, and almost everything had to be transferred to a place where no one could find them. You weren't ready to say goodbye to your apartment or job yet. However, you were already setting up the apartment and writing the letter to Elza about quitting your job. You didn't have the most significant relationship with your mother. However, you had a better relationship with your father, although you could not tell him about it, you already set up a date to meet him to talk to him about possibly not being able to contact or see him ever again, but you could not tell him the outlandish plan, you had but it better to say to him a white lie than to tell him the truth. That was the best option because it would be better for your father not to know the truth than to know this would be the last time he would see you again. This was hard for you. You looked up at the ceiling of your room, and tears rolled down your cheeks as you thought of what you were doing. For a split second, you wanted to stop the spell; however, in your heart, you knew the choice was already made. Allowing it to continue, you could not help but think of it.
Giyuu, sitting beside you on the bed, looked at you with concern written all over his face. Giyuu looked down at you, placing a finger under your chin and raising your head to look up at him. His eyes locked onto yours, and he smiled softly. He caressed your cheek with his thumb, wiping away the falling tear. He gave you an affectionate kiss, pulling away before lying on his side beside you. You laid your head on his shoulder and wrapped your arm around his torso, cuddling into him and falling asleep quickly.
