chapter 7:invitation to the costume party

A couple of weeks passed after the incident with Chris and Giyuu; you felt really it was really wrong that Chris tried to start a fight with Giyuu. You were helping Giyuu with his proficiency by conducting interviews to see how he was doing. After conducting the interview, you reviewed how he did.

"I got to say, even though it has only been one month since you have been staying here, I can now say your English is pretty fluent that I give you a pass in fluency. However, your writing still needs work. I think if we conduct more writing sessions with the three components that I was taught, you might able to write more fluently in English." You said, looking at his handwriting.

"So I passed...." Giyuu said in English.

"Yep, pretty much....." you said, giving him a thumbs up. "Though your handwriting is still a work in progress, I got to say this is pretty impressive; it took me a year and a half to learn Japanese." You said.

Suddenly you get a phone call from Rei, you picked up the phone and answered.

"Hey Rei, what going on? Are you working?" You asked.

" No, but in a couple of weeks, I'm throwing a huge costume party for my birthday; I am inviting you and Giyuu to my party! Would you like to go?"

" Yes, that would be lovely! But is Chris coming?" You asked.

"No, after the incident, I decided I would not invite him over," Rei said.

"Then I gladly accepted your invitation!" You said.
Rei then told you the party date, and you went to your calendar and marked it down; you hung up with her after talking with her.

"Hey, guess in several weeks there will be a costume party, and Rei invited us over!" You said.

"What is a costume party?" Giyuu asked.

" Well, a costume party is a social gathering where people wear special clothing that makes them look like a particular character, animal, or object and amuse themselves with dancing or conversations." You said.

" I think you can wear the stuff you wore a month ago...." you said as you went to your closet to bring out his demon slayer outfit, his haori, and his sword. I had to go to great lengths to get this weapon street-legal; you would not believe the process I had to go through." you said as you gave it to him.

"You even washed it....." Giyuu said as he looked at his uniform and his haori.

" Yes....that especially wasn't easy, I had to go to the dry cleaners to determine the material in the fabric in haori and uniform." You admitted to yourself.

"So I'm allowed to wear what I wore....why?" Giyuu asked.

" because literally, you're the character from the manga; everyone will think you're an excellent cosplayer!" You said.

"Cosplayer?" Giyuu asked.

"Aaaah...I forgot to mention that part...." You said, putting your palm on your face. You quickly explained what was a cosplay and a cosplayer to Giyuu.

" So what are you going be?" Giyuu asked.

"Well, I planned to be an Arabian knight.....but I don't know  anymore...." You said. You hadn't given any thought about it, though the day you thought about it, long and hard until at dinner, you were making dinner. You were making Spanish paella when you were chopping the cucumbers when you got a spark.

"That's it! I have an idea, I what I am going to be! " You said.

Giyuu was helping you make dinner when he heard you. He turned around from the sink where he was peeling the shrimp. "So what going to be?" He asked.
