Chapter 29: approaching danger

Days had passed since your conversation with Giyuu, and the tension in the air had grown thicker. It was clear that something would happen soon, but no one knew what it would be.

You had tried to keep yourself busy, but your mind kept drifting back to the possibility of going into labor early. You were scared but knew you couldn't let that fear consume you. You had to stay strong for your baby. You knew that the time was approaching; something would happen soon, and you didn't want to be caught off guard.

But then, the night came when everything changed. You were lying in bed with Giyuu, trying to fall asleep, when you heard a loud noise. Giyuu immediately sat up, instinctively reaching for his sword.

"What was that?" he asked, his voice low and urgent.

You listened carefully and heard the sound of glass breaking. Your heart started to race as the realization hit you -someone had broken into the mansion.

Giyuu quickly got up from the bed, his sword in hand, and he ran out of the room and down the hallways. Suddenly, he felt immense pressure that he had never felt. Shinobu joined him, and the both of them headed toward the destination. As they turned the corner, both hearts dropped in their stomachs as they saw him.

Muzan, looking at both of them with hatred in his eyes. Both of them were horrified by him, but then a question arose, 'Why was he here, and how did he find this place?'

The other demon slayers started to arrive. Muzan looked around at the other demon slayers and scoffed at them.

"Annoying pests...you always got in my way, but now I found something. I am not here for any of you but rather that girl..." Muzan said.

Shinobu and Giyuu realized that Muzan was here to get you.

"You may be wondering why that girl knows where that flower grows. I need that flower. However, I can't get myself, so I plan on using the girl to get that flower. Once I have that flower, I see no longer use for her, and I will kill her..." Muzan said, looking at Giyuu and Shnobu, horrified and furious at him.

"Nakime...Now," Muzan said as the Beiwo Demon stuck a cord and sent all the demon slayers to different places before they could even attack him.

Muzan looked around the mansion; that should give him time. It doesn't matter how long it takes before the upper moons will finish them. Now he needs to find you.

Meanwhile, you feel a dreadful feeling that you have never felt before. You had the feeling that you were being hunted down. You open the curtains to escape, only to find that the scenery changed. A pit in your stomach grew, and you realized that the Butterfly Mansion was now in the infinity castle.

Then something in your heart knew you needed to get out here fast, but escape wouldn't be easy since the Butterfly mansion was now in the Infinity castle. Still, something in your heart was screaming at you to leave. You came out from your hallway; if you remember correctly, the Shinobu research room had a window. Just maybe, you could reach there and escape from there.

Meanwhile, Muzan was searching the hallways when he heard a trembling voice, " You stop right here!" Muzan turned to see a girl with pigtails and two blue butterfly accessories holding her weapon, a special made Nichiren naginata for her. It was Aoi holding her weapon with both hands standing in the way of Muzan. Of course, Aoi had difficulty holding her weapon, and her fingers were trembling in fear. But Aoi knew she needed to stall Muzan as long as she could until y/n got out. Muzan saw the girl standing in his way, and he could tell that this girl wasn't that strong. 

"I have to protect her, no, we have to protect her no matter what happens, and we will protect her..." Aoi said, trying her best to tremble in fear.

"Such fierce determination, you'll go that far to protect a human you barely know?" Muzan asked with red eyes, looking directly at Aoi.

"We will...it is our job and our duty, no matter the costs, even if we have to face death from this, we will. I refuse you to let get her and the information she has." Aoi said, then she continued. "I won't let you get her, and you must go through me before you even get to her."

"Then you will have to die...." Muzan said.

Aoi was knocked out and severely injured but not dead; her weapon was broken, and she could not get up due to her injuries. Muzan looked at the girl who caused trouble, but he didn't need to worry. Besides, that girl was easy to knock out; still, she did try her best to protect you. Muzan keeps on moving towards you to get to you.

However, another girl was blocking the way; this girl was different from the last. She had a standard nirchin blade and wore a white cape, purple eyes, and a green-pink butterfly hairclip. Muzan was starting to get annoyed by this, and it seemed that at every corner he turned to try to get to this girl, there would be someone in his way. It seemed like god was trying to keep him waiting, and his patience waned. He tried the same method previously, but to his surprise, this girl was much stronger than the last one. Muzan knew that this would be a lot harder than he initially thought.

Meanwhile, you got to Shinobu's research room and opened the window to find a place more forest, meaning that it wasn't connected to Infinity Castle. Then you saw Shinobu's book with the blue spider lily in it and grabbed it. You looked back one more time before climbing, dropping to the ground, and running as fast as you could to somewhere safer.

However, you need to leave this forest and find another place. As you ran through the forest, you looked up to the night sky and looked for the big dipper and little dipper. You found them, and once you knew where they were, you started heading north.

By then, Muzan only realized the girl had escaped, "clever, well played, but that's not stopping me from getting my prize." Muzan said as he threw Kanao through the Japanese window to the floor.

"Nakime teleport me...back to outside..." Muzan said as Beiwo demon struck her cord, teleporting Muzan outside.

Kanao only then realized that y/n was in real danger, "I need to get Shinobu or Giyuu fast. This is not good."
