chapter 5: When I am with you

You woke up with arms around you, and you turned to see Giyuu with his bed head holding you. You thought, 'I am so lucky; even though he is sleeping, I admitted to myself that he looks handsome and tender.' Giyuu was holding you in his arms since he is still an hashira. You couldn't get out of bed because he was holding you. But that didn't matter to you. He looked so content, and he was smiling, you thought to yourself. 'I think the fans would faint at this site, especially the fangirls.' Slowly he woke up and saw that you were looking at him. Giyuu saw that he was holding you, and you were smiling at him. So he pulled you in just a little closer, and you brushed a bit of his hair that was in the way.

"Good morning, Giyuu." You said.

"Good morning, (y/n)," Giyuu said in English.

Later in the morning, you were helping with his English. He was doing an excellent job at it, even when he stumbled or messed up on the sentence. You didn't push him, and you did help him from time to time, but he invested in it. So you thought to yourself, 'Keep it up, Giyuu; I know you can do it!'

Giyuu now had some ability to speak English, he wasn't there yet, but he was getting there. Once you finished his English lessons, you decided that it would be good to go out to lunch together to practice his English in public. At your local restaurant in your town, you got lucky to get a good seat with Giyuu. You were ordering your lunch when Chris saw you with Giyuu. Luckily you were ordering your meal when he came in, but you found this weird. The reason why was that he hated going to restaurants because of how noisy all the people were. After ordering your meals and the waitress left.

"That was weird..." you said.

"What?" Giyuu said in English.

"Chris doesn't usually go to restaurants...but I guess he decided to go and eat, and I find it odd that he decided to go here..." You said.

You thought, 'Speak of the devil. Here comes Chris.'

Chris came over from his table and smiled at you. You felt creeped out by this and thought, 'He is acting strange.'

"Hello, y/n, and uh...." Chris said.

"My name is Giyuu..." Giyuu said, looking up at Chris, unamused at his antics.

"And Giyuu..." Chris said with a tone in his voice.

Giyuu saw you were uncomfortable with Chris. He thought, 'Something is off with this guy; I can tell from a mile away that he doesn't like me being with y/n or me in general.'

Chris felt threatened by Giyuu; he would back out of this for now. Besides, he didn't want to act on his plan, not right now in front of all these people.

"I just wanted to say hello to the both of you!" Chris said as he left the table, feeling threatened by the aura Giyuu was giving off.

Chris thought, 'This guy is quite different from all the guys! Why! His aura feeling is threatening to me!'

You felt something was off about Chris, but you could not tell; you turned back to see that Giyuu was looking at Chris walking away, but you could tell that his demeanor had changed into a serious mood. You had never seen this kind of demeanor in a while. You remembered that his style had that demeanor when he first met you. So Giyuu turned back to face you; you looked at him with concern.

"Only seen once that demeanor," you said.

"That guy wanted to instigate a fight..." Giyuu said.

You were shocked by this. However, you realized that Chris was trying to test if he could instigate something with Giyuu. However, it must have been the aura that Giyuu was giving off that made Chris run with his tail behind the back of his legs. Chris must have felt threatened by this, so he returned to his table.

After that, and having lunch together, you decided to head home and watch a movie together. You chose to watch your favorite movie with Giyuu. Then, of course, you put the subtitles on. Giyuu was amazed by all of the technology; in his heart wished that the demon slayer corps could see this. He thought about it. Urokodashi, Tanjiro, and the rest were probably devastated by his disappearance. He can only hope that Y/N and her friends can find a way home. It will be tough for Maya to help and find the person responsible so he can be sent back home. But so far, there hasn't lucked on that side. Hopefully, though, it would change. So he looked at you softly and smiled; he was lucky that you were so lovely, warm, and welcoming toward him. 

You looked at him in awe; Giyuu was smiling at you. You thought to yourself, 'I am so lucky!' it was getting one of the scarier scenes in the movie you were watching, and you knew there would be a jumpscare. You wanted to hide from the scene, and suddenly your attention was pulled away by the scene. So when Giyuu kissed you on the cheek, your face lit up red, and you turned to Giyuu.

"What was that for?" you asked him, trying to hide that you were blushing, but Giyuu could tell you were blushing.

"I want to thank you...." Giyuu said.

Your face lit brighter from that response, and you wanted to faint. You missed the scary scene and jumpscare in your favorite movie, but you didn't mind that; you were more distracted by Giyuu kissing you on the cheek. You wanted to focus back on the film, but you couldn't after that; you promised yourself you would get back at him somehow.

After the movie, you and Giyuu made dinner together, and you together a French Boeuf de Bazas with foie gras. You had a lovely dinner together and had so much fun talking to Giyuu. It seemed so calm; you liked it. So you finished dinner and cleaned up the dishes from the dinner. You came back to the table and keep on talking to Giyuu. The rest of that night, you spent the night with Giyuu, and you allowed Giyuu to sleep in your room for the second night in a row.

You woke up and decided to take an shower; you thought to yourself that the relationship had grown into something else. It was there you realized that you had feelings for Giyuu and not platonic but romantic feelings. However, you didn't have the courage to tell yet; you're going to wait for the moment. You hoped that nothing bad would happen from this, yet there was an ominous feeling that something was going to happen.

After your shower, you and Giyuu had breakfast together and decided to go to the city together. Little did you know that you would run into someone you knew. You would be in a very precarious situation with Giyuu when that person confronts you.
