Kaine isn't the nicest guy around. He had a rough life and was the first of the cloning experiment by the Jackal but failed. He escaped and watched from the sidelines as Peter Parker and Ben Reilly defeated Jackal, becoming a vigilante criminal
Eventually Peter and Ben found him and turned him from a crazed maniac into a hero
Kaine eventually made himself a new suit and called himself Scarlet Spider. He now scouts the city's streets at night
He also visits Peter and Ben every now and then
While Kaine doesn't care if he helps others or not he dose so because he's trying to make up for his past misdeeds. He maybe a jerk but he's just lonely and wants love
Fun fact: Kaine is my favourite of the Scarlet Spiders
