It's no secret that Phin Mason aka the Tinkerer was a really cool idea for a villain but was executed poorly due to questionable writing and with the story not being long enough and how she comes off as very hypocritical so here's my rewrite

It's no secret that Phin Mason aka the Tinkerer was a really cool idea for a villain but was executed poorly due to questionable writing and with the story not being long enough and how she comes off as very hypocritical so here's my rewrite

When her and Miles meet again at the dinner she tells him that Rick died and that's why they hadn't seen each other for months

When they find their time-capsule Miles asked Phin how Rick died but Phin couldn't tell him since she was afraid of exposing herself

Her motive is to kill Simon Krieger and destroy Roxxon Plaza along with her wanting to cure some of her underground teammates who got sick from the newforum

She creates the destraction by attacking the rally to get Spider-Man's attention and distract him. but this time she orders her goons not attack any innocent people and especially Rio Morales. Only the Roxxon guards

The rest of the game plays out the same and the final battle has the Underground attack Roxxon plaza while Phin tries to kill Simon but Spider-Man steps in and the final battle plays out the same

Only this time the Newforum reactor goes off once and Phin realises what she's done and when Spider-Man absorbs the Newforum from the reactor she sacrifices her life to save all of Harlem and the rest of the city
