When Peter found out there was a Spider-Man in Brooklyn he was quick to investigate and saw how good Miles's battle skills were
Peter and Miles have a strong student/mentor dynamic with Peter teaching Miles all about power and responsibility. They understand and trust each other. Like in the PS4 games they have a wholesome bromance. Peter even taking a liking to Miles's art skills
So if 1 Spider-Man isn't enough 2 will get the job done
With the exception of Ben Reilly, Peter finds himself teaming with Miles the most
