Salem Hospital Kaylas office
Kayla is back at her desk finishing up her report when a knock comes at the door
Kayla calls come in thinking it's steve again, but instead Rafe walks in
Rafe - Hey Kayla , I was just checking to see if you finished up the medical reports on Hope , I have to head back to the station and would like to take the reports with me
Kayla - closes the file , yeah I'm done
You know you may want someone else to go over this Rafe, I had a difficult time reviewing all of it myself. This was a very violent attack and her injuries both physically and mentally are severe
Rafe - how was she, did she say anything
Kayla - no , no she didn't say anything at all , she cried, shes in alot if physical pain, it's all here in the report, but I think your too close to this to be working on this
Rafe - when do you think she will be ready to talk about what happened iam going to get a statement from her .
Kayla - your going to have to wait at least a day or 2 , she's not ready to talk.about anything yet. Having to do the rape kit, the medical exam that was enough for her for today.
Rafe - of course , I just want to make sure we nail welch. Speaking of which is he ready for transport from here to a jail cell
Kayla - a couple hours in the psych ward may have made him feel ready
Rafe - psych ward?
Kayla - yeah , that's where he was transferred after he came too
Rafe - alright I'll take care of transferring him over for arraignment
Kayla - scoffs at the idea , there is no way he's going to make bail , no way , here take this file everything you need is in there I'm going to go find steve and check on Hope
Kayla and Rafe leave her office
Hopes Exam Room
Marlena is sitting In the chair waiting on Hope who's still in the shower. She writes down notes for herself. When a very gentle knock comes on the door
Marlena gets up to answer it, she finds Bo
Marlena - extends her arms and Hugs Bo
How are you doing ?
Bo - me ? You asking me how iam doing ?
I'm concerned about Hope , how is she
Marlena - she's in the shower , kayla and I were able to get everything we needed to get done
Bo - nods his head, how did she do with all that was she ok ?
Marlena - she handled it the best she could, Bo this is going to be a long hard road for Hope
Bo - I still can't beleive this , I should have been there Marlena , I should have made it there before all this happened
At that moment the bathroom door opens and Hope comes out she is in a clean set of pajamas , a bathrobe and her hair is up.under a towel , she steps out sees Bo and immediately looks at the ground
Marlena - hi, sweetie , do you feel better after that hot shower
Hope - nods her head still looking at the floor
Marlena - Bo was just checking on you would you like him to stay , is it ok if he stays ?
Hope - quickly glances at Bo , nods yes then looks back at the ground , a sad, despondent look in Hopes eyes
Hope moves towards the hospital bed and goes to climb in , she winces in pain and grabs her ribs as she does so
Marlena - you have to be careful , remember Kayla said you have 2 broken ribs , want me to get you some pain killers
Hope - nods her head yes
Marlena is it OK for Bo to stay ?
Hope - nods her head yes
Marlena - ok good , I'll be back , she gives Hope’s hand a gentle squeeze , turns and gives Bo a reassuring smile and then leaves the room
Hope tries to grab the blankets on the bed to pull over herself and struggles as they are tucked to tightly, Bo goes over and pulls them out for her , Hope quickly gives him a smile of thanks but has a hard time looking at him in the eyes
Hope then takes the towel off her head and glances around the room for a brush
Bo realizes what she's looking for and Picks the brush up off the table and hands it to Hope , here you go fancy face
Hope - again gives Bo a quick smile
Then goes to brush her hair , but her hand throbs in pain , Hope moans in pain and goes to put the brush down on the bed
Bo - can I do that for you ? You've always liked when I brushed your hair (insert memory from 1983 of Bo brushing Hopes hair at Reinhardt prison) I remember the first time I brushed your hair
Hope - remembers the same thing as Bo , it brings a smile to her face
Bo - there's that smile , Bo says as he looks at Hopes face, so is that a yes , may I brush your hair ,
Hope - nods her head yes
Bo takes the brush and starts to brush Hopes hair , Bo brushes a bit , whoa you have a large knot back here I'm going to try and get it out
Hope - sits a small smile on her face as Bo brushes her hair , then when Bo gets to the knot he pulls Hopes hair a bit , Hope’s smile quickly fades and she remembers Larry gabbing her by the hair in the parking garage , Hope forgets where she is , she starts screaming and jumps up off the hospital bed
Bo - tries to calm Hope down , fancy face, what is it, did I do something wrong iam sorry
Hope is backed into thr corner of the room , screaming , No , no !
Marlena and Kayla both come in and rush to Hope as a shocked and upset Bo stands and watches not knowing what he did or what to do
