Chapter 12

"But wait what was he doing there?" Laura asks as she lies upside down on the bed listening to me as I tell her what happened at the track today, after being in shock for the whole car ride home Charles drove us home getting food on the way. "I have no fucking clue, probably went there for fun like us" I shrug "At least timing was in my favor today," I say as if he would have arrived 2 minutes earlier I would be having a really different conversation right now. "Look S, I really don't want to push, but you sure you don't want to tell him?" she asks sitting up, I sigh shaking my head

"A part of me wants to trust me, but then there is the other part that is screaming at me to never even go near him ever again." I let out a sigh, "When we were together I was probably the happiest I have ever been, and or will ever be. I always thought he was my soulmate L, you never saw us together but I don't even know how to really explain it," I pause for a second "When I was with him I was at, peace" I say looking out the window to the patio.

I was running around the house trying to make sure everything was where it was supposed to be. It was for moms birthday and I was extremely stressed about the party since I was the only one organizing it with Charles and Arthur away for their races and only arriving back one day before the party. I needed this to go perfectly. But nothing was going my way, the cake got fucked up, the ballons arrived in the wrong color, and if the party wasn't enough stress as is, my work was awful, my boss was picking on me the whole week, every day I came home from work crying. After arriving back home I tiredly walked into my and Pierre's apartment, I was feeling exhausted as I put down my stuff, not even realizing that Pierre's suitcase was right there next to me.

I only realize he came home earlier when I feel two arms wrap around me from behind "Hello, chéri", I don't even say a word I just quickly turn  around wrapping my arms around his neck and holding onto him for dear life, not being able to hold my tears back any longer "Hey, hey" he pulls away a little holding my face looking worried "What's wrong baby?" I shake my head "I am just so tired, my boss just- the party, I can't do this" I sob breathlessly he just pulls me back into a hug for a few more minutes before giving me a kiss on my head before walking me out to the patio, laying down in the porch swing and pulling me on top of him wrapping his arms around me. And we just lay there for nearly 20 minutes, I have my head on his chest listening to his heartbeat while he traces figures on my back finally calming me down. "You've been doing amazing Mon Reve" he whispers "I saw all the pictures, you have managed to fix every little mistake, your mom is going to love it, and your boss has always been a fucking dick" I chuckle a little "I have been telling you it for forever, quit, you can seriously do so much better" I look up at him "But I am scared" I whisper looking in his eyes "What if I don't find anything or I don't know I too scared" he holds my face with one of his hand "It's okay to be scared S, but that's why I am here, to help you through this kind of changes, and that's exactly what I am going to do," he says pulling me closer into a kiss.

"But, I guess he is happier with her now," I say referring to Emily we just stay quiet for a few mins before Laura goes and says, "You, know I could take care of her," she says wiggling her eyebrows, "Give me 2 days and bum she is gone" I laugh throwing a pillow at her "Just saying, offers on forever" she winks making me laugh more. 

"But on a more serious note," She looks at me. "So, um I-, Charles asked me out on a date for tomorrow night" she whispers not daring to look at me. "I know" I smile taking her hand "What-" "its sounds weird but, he sort of asked for my permission, and yes I said it would be completely okay, I mean I feel like you guys could really hit it off"  she shyly smiles at me nodding "Omg," she sits up suddenly "I have nothing to wear!" she gets up. "Then let's go shopping" I smile at her getting up and grabbing my stuff "Brothers, we are going shopping with L, Ollie is still sleeping, but watch him?" they both nod, and I and Laura drive into the town, we went into my all-time favorite store, We have been there for over an hour now with her just testing out dresses and different outfits

"Okay, that is beautiful!" I say as she walks out in a navy blue slightly sparkly dress, it fit her body perfectly with the v neckline, "But, the color, I think there was a red version of it, that would be a better fit" I wink knowing my brother loved red, "I'll go get it for you." I smile walking to the other end of the store for the dress when I bump into someone, "Oh god I am so sorry" I apologize quickly. "No, problem" he quickly says turning around to me "Sarah?" he smiles at me, it takes a second before I realize, "Omg, Sami!" I smile giving him a hug "I didn't know you were back in Monaco!" I pull away from him. "Yeah I've been back for a few months now for some family reasons" he explains, I nod "But I see you are back as well, I ran into Charles last Christmas he said you weren't living here anymore" I nod, "Yeah I only go back here last month, because of Arthur" he nods "Look I gotta go because my friend is waiting for her dress, but it was Nice to see you Sammi," I smile at him, "Hey um, would you want to grab lunch sometime?" he asks before I turn away "Uhm, I mean yeah sure" I smile, he holds his phone to me, I put my number in quickly before saying goodbye to him, going back to Laura with the dress
