~Evelyn's Pov~

I woke up the next morning. I was excited. I was finally going to be able to see my best friend in person. I took a quick shower, smiling the whole time. After I got out, I put on skinny jeans, a shirt that said 'Believe' on it, and pink flats. I curled my hair and decided not to put on makeup.

I walked downstairs and sat down on my chair in the dining room. My chair because it has my name on it. I saw my name engraved in beautiful writing. "Good morning Evelyn," I heard Jake, our chef, say. I smiled. "Good morning Jake," I said. "You seem extra happy today. What's up?" He asked me, setting a plate of waffles, eggs, and bacon in front of me.

He sat down in Emily's chair and looked at me. He was in his late 20's. He has black hair that was styled. He wore his usual chef outfit, blue t-shirt, and tan pants. He was the nicest person ever. I told him that I got to see Scarlett for the first time in two weeks, in between bites of his delicious breakfast.

He smiled. "This is better than usual Jake," I told him, finishing it. "It's a new recipe," he replied. "I like it," I said. I got up. "Tell my parents I went to Scarlett's house," I told him. He nodded while taking my plate. "Bye Jake!" I yelled. "Bye Evelyn!" He yelled back.

I got in my car my parents bought me. They said if I could get my driver's license, they'd buy me a car. So I took driver's ed and passed. I got my driver's license at the age I am now, 16. I got in and drove off. Today was going to be a good day.

~Scarlett's Pov~

I sat outside waiting for her. I would have to tell her sooner or later. Finally, I saw her car come into my driveway. She got out and ran towards me. "Scarlett!" She exclaimed. "Evelyn!" I exclaimed back to her. We hugged each other.

We let go of each other. "What are we doing today?" She asked me. "Before I tell you, is it okay if Aiden comes with us?" I asked her. She nodded. "Yeah. It's fine," she said in an unsure tone.

As if on cue, Aiden pulled into my driveway. He stepped out of his car and walked towards us. He looked perfect. His hair is black and was spiked up. He was wearing skinny jeans with a green Aero shirt. "Hey Scarlett. Hey Evelyn, I haven't seen you for a while," he said.

"Scarlett can I talk to you?" Evelyn asked. "Sure," I replied. We walked to the other side of her car. "How did you get him to come on our hangout day with us?" She asked me. "I just asked him if he wanted to come that's all," I replied. "Hmm...okay then," she said, walking away.

"What are we doing?" Aiden asked. "We're going to the mall, then to go get some ice cream, then to the movies," I said. "Okay," he said as we climbed into his car.

We started to drive to the mall. I had a reason to invite Aiden today. I hope Evelyn wouldn't be mad. Today, I was going to tell Aiden how I felt about him, and ask him out in the process.
