*Nanami POV*

My mind went blank as Mr. Aizawa leaned in and pulled me in for a hug.

His movements causing my breath to catch.

"Please forgive me"  Mr. Aizawa whispered.

"What?" Mumbled. "You're not mad?" My body going rigid with surprise.

"Gahh! Hey!!" Bakugo protested with both palms facing up, his elbows bent close to his side.

He looked like he was stuck between pulling Mr. Aizawa away from me and then remembering it's Mr. Aizawa.

"I failed to protect you and almost delivered you back into their hands" Mr. Aizawa pulled away from me. "They knew we were watching them the entire time"

"No, I-I..."  I choked. My chest filled with selfish relief. Tears streamed down my cheeks and I wiped them away with the back of my hand.

I was not expecting this at all.

"I'm the one who lost track of what was happening" My eyes met Jiro's "And you were the ones who paid the price"

"I don't think I can ever make up for what I did" I continued. "I am more of a risk to those around me than any real help" I let out a humorless laugh. "What kind of hero can someone like me ever hope to be?"

"None of that" Jiro said as she placed a hand on my shoulder. "You were amazing out there and were more than holding your own" She smiled at me "Nanami, we're just glad you are alright, you really scared us there for a minute"

I dropped my gaze and pulled my brows together "Yeah" I frowned "I bet I did"

"She's not talking about your berserker form idiot" Bakugou spoke for the first time. "I don't get what the big deal was" He scoffed. "It was more of a let down than anything"

Midoriya gave him a side ways glance.

"But your form isn't what scared us" Bakugou's tone turning more serious.

I studied him, confusion written on my face.

"When you are in that form" Bakugou continued, his gaze distant as if recalling the memory. "It looks like you're constantly in pain, lashing out at anything and like your'e" He hesitated.

Like I'm?

"On the brink of death" Midoriya finished.

"Tsk". Bakugou grumbled.

"You became powerful" Midoriya continued. "No doubt about it, a hit from you could be deadly to say the least, but it's almost like your body was maxing out at more than 100% continuously and it was draining you"

Midoriya's kind green eyes met mine. "More than anything we just wanted you to calm down. We weren't scared of you, we were scared for you"

"Oh" Was all I could say.

My chest was so full it felt like it could burst at any minute.

These people. I glanced around the room.

They didnt give up on me, they didnt run away from me, they dont even look mad at me even though they have every right to be.

They were worried about me.

A wave of determination so fierce came over me I found it hard to stay seated.

I need to train, I need to get stronger. I need to show them I am worthy of their kindness and trust.

"Even after you calmed down, your fever was dangerously high." Mr. Aizawa added. "Which is why these three refused to leave your room last night." He tilted in the others directions.

My heart melted and I didn't try suppressing the smile that crossed my face.

"I hate that the only thing I ever manage to do is cause you all trouble then thank you for saving me." I rubbed the back of my neck as I averted my eyes. "But here I am,  yet again"

"What happen wasn't your fault." Bakugou interrupted. "The bastards better enjoy this win"

"Because its going to be their last" A malicious smile curled his lips.

"What happen to the other group? And the league? Eri?" I met Bakugous crimson eyes.
"What about Gin?"

His features hardened.

"We actually have some good news in that regard." Aizawa offered.

I straightened up a bit. Eager to hear positive news.

"But first" All Might interrupted. "Why don't you three freshen up at the dorms first then meet us in the conference room. I'm sure the others are eager to see that you are ok"
