Chapter 10 U.A

*Nanami POV*

"Well lookie who finally decided to wake up!" A girl with bright orange hair and pointed ears greeted as she pranced her way into the room.

The blonde spikey haired boy steps away from my bed all of a sudden, taking the warmth of his hands with him.

"U.A's own sleeping beauty!" She giggled.

"My name is Jinx, I am a nurse here at U.A" she extended her hand out to me.

Hesitatiting slightly, I slowly reach out and shake her hand.

"Im Kira. Kira Nanami" I introduced.

My eyes drift towards the boy.

He lets out a sigh. "Katsuki Bakugou"

"We have been monitoring you for 3 days" she explained with an energy I envied.

3 days!?

"For a while there, this one was the only one who could enter the room!" she smacked Bakugou's back harder than he'd like.

"Why?" I asked. Confused by her remark.

They looked at me with puzzled expressions.

"Why was he the only one that could enter the room?" I explained my question in hopes of an answer from them.

"Uh" Jinx started. "Wel-"

"It doesn't matter!" Bakugou interrupted.

"Excuse me" a new voice spoke as a man entered the room.

I notice Bakugou's arms tense with the new visitors arrival.

A pair of sleepy blood shot eyes approach me. "We need to talk"

Eraserhead. I recognized. Shouta Aizawa.

"Now!?" Jinx exclaimed. Her ears slanted downwards. "She just woke up!"

"Have her meet us in the conference room" Aizawa requested as he made his exit as swiftly as he had arrived.

"Whats the last thing you remember?" Aizawa glared at me as I took my seat in the room full of U.A's pro hero's.

"Is this really necessary Aizawa?" All Might steps in. "I think shes had enough for today. Shes only just woken up. Let her have a few days to recover before interogating her"

"We have been dealing with a possible mole at UA for almost 2 years and now you want to bring this girl here?" Aizawa argued.

"Im with Aizawa on this one. For all we know This could all be an elaborate set up to get her in here to learn our secrets and destroy us from within" Present Mic added.

"No way in hell thats true" bakugou interrupted.

"I saw the way they had her in that basement, I heard her cries and saw her pain. Even if she was working with them, it was not by choice ! No one in their right mind would go through that on purpose." He concluded.

His words surprised me.

"Don't be so naive Bakugou," aizawa countered.

Having heard enough, I stand from my chair and silence spreads across the room.

"I just want to say" I make sure to look at everyone in the room.

"Thank you" I bow.

"Im sure it wasn't easy to rescue me, but you did it anyway" I continued. "Night after night, I waited. Day after day I endured with the hope that someone would save me." I meet Bakugous eyes.

"Its what kept me strong, so I thank you for not giving up on me!" I cant help the tears from spilling.

I clear my throat before I continue, and I make sure my voice doesn't falter.

"I'm not a spy. I do not work for the league. That being said, I dont expect you to trust me. I will earn your trust as you have earned mine. I could never thank you enough, but I will try doing so with my actions."

When my eyes scan the room again, I am met with warm smiles, some surprised faces, but still some suspicion.

Its a start. I tell myself.

"Do you have somewhere to stay? Family maybe?" Midnight asked.

"My mom... shes in Hosu" I offered. "Has she been told of my rescue?" I asked hopefully.

Around the room eyes divert away from me. No one wants to answer my question.

"No, she doesn't know yet." All Might confessed. "We haven't alerted the media yet. We should place your mother in protective custody, before we do"

My heart sank.

"If the league wants the girl, they will use her mother to get to her" cementose predicted.

"Then where will she stay in the mean time?" Midnight asked.

After an awkward silence.

"Why doesnt she become a student here" Principle Nezu asked.

"What?" Aizawa and I said before our eyes met.
