Chapter 17 Pathetic

I lower my arm and see a dazed expression on Kaminari.

Did Shinsou brain wash him and I didn't realize it?

"Hey" Kaminari drooled as he gave me two thumbs up and walked him self out of bound.

The rest of 1A charges at us after the electrical currents disperse.

I try to think of something quick but come up empty as I see Shinsou turn his back on a girl in a pink and black suit.

"SHINSOU! BEHIND YOU!" I yelled.

Using my quirk I form another spear, and aim at the pink cheeked girl when suddenly a rope tightens around my torso and knocks the wind out of me.

"Gah!"

I look down and realize its not a rope at all, its a rubbery tongue and at the end of it is the frog girl.

Tsyu. I put the face to the name.

she pulls me upward and my spear Misses my target, who successfully puts her hand on Shinsou after which Shinsou starts to levitate off the floor.

Ochako

When she releases him, Shinsou falls out of bound.

"Got him!" She cheered.

"Damn it!" I cursed.

Before Tsyu has a chance to throw me out of bound, I let go all the electrical current kaminari had given me, locking Tsyu in her place. when I stop she drops to the floor and I fall right before the boundary line.

At this point I am exhausted. My breathing is rapid and erratic. Adrenaline has me on high alert.

This was never a fair fight! we never stood a chance!

Anger floods my senses.

A flash bomb goes off in front of me.

Probably Momo's doing.

I wait a beat until I feel someone behind me and project an electrical field around myself, hoping to catch anyone near me like an electrical fence.

"Aaahhhhhh" Ochako's voice trembled.

*BEEEEEEEP!* A timer went off.

"That's it!" Present Mic announced. "First round's up!"

I collapse onto the floor as the others clear off the field.

I try to calm my ragged breathing by focusing on the rising and falling of my chest.

"That was pathetic" A rugged voice said behind me.
