Chapter 9 Relax

*Bakugou POV*

"Ah, just the student I wanted to see" All Might starts when we cross paths in the hallway.

"I don't see Deku around" I grumbled.

"Young Bakugou?? Oh! I thought you were Young Midoriya! haha!"

My entire body froze. "WHAT!?"

"HAHA! IM JUST JOKING!" All Might boomed.

"I was looking for yo-." He coughed suddenly.

Im still not use to seeing him in this weakened form.

"You did it" he continued. "You brought her back"

"I didn't do anything!" I spat. "I wasn't able to kill anyone"

"You earned her trust Bakugou" he reassured. "You saved her."

He put his hand on my shoulder. "Im proud of you"

His words caught me off guard. My eyes widen and my jaw drops slightly.

I have no right hearing that from you of all people.

"I dont need your praise All Might!" I brushed his hand off as I walked passed him.

As I continue walking, I realized where I was going and cursed.

Just go back to the dorms...its late! I told myself.

"Hello young man" recovery girl greeted.

I give her a curt nod.

"Back to check on her again?" She asked.

My cheeks and ears feel hot.

"What did you say!?"

But she made no fuss at my overreaction and paid me no attention at all.

"Just don't stay too late this time" she advised as she left me standing alone in front of the clinic.

stupid old lady! What does she know! this girl has been nothing but a pain since we brought her back! the least she could do is wake up! I complained internally as I walk into the health clinic.

I get to her room and peek into the small window before entering.

What am I even doing here?

As Im Closing the door quietly I hear rustling in the bed.

Shes awake?

I walk up to the bed slowly, but her eyes were shut tight.  Brows pulled together causing a small crease to form in between them. her breathing starts to increases and her arms are pinned down by her sides. She tossed her head left and right.

I reached my hand out to brush wild strands of her scarlet hair away from her face, but stop myself.

What the hell am I doing? I don't have time for this.

I turned towards the door to leave.

"Please don't" she requested clear as day.

I spin to face her.

"Don't What?" I asked.

"Please" she repeated.

I draw closer to the bed to hear what she wants, but I realize shes still sleeping.

"Please stop" she whispered.

I sit on the edge of the bed, place my hands on her shoulders and shake her gently.

"Hey" I start. "Wake up"

"Nooo!" she sat up suddenly, out of breath and trembling.

Her golden eyes meet mine.

I should have let her go by now, but I didn't.

I moved one hand behind her neck, my thumb resting on her cheek and I slide my other hand down her arm.

"Relax" I told her. "It was just a dream" I scan her face for all the bruises and cuts she had a few days ago, but their completely gone.

A knock on the door makes us both pull away from each other, suddenly realizing how close we had been.

"Well lookie who finally decided to wake up!"
