Chapter 28 Friends Now

Nanami POV

He lifts himself again to get a better look at me.

I cant help but feel small in his toned arms and the look in his eyes makes my now calm heart pick up pace again, this time a thousand and one butterflies fill my chest.

He leans in and my breath catches.

"Dont think this makes us friends now"

My mind goes blank, but my chest aches. He doused the very fire he ignited with just a few words.

I fabricate a smug smile, to hide my dissapoinment.

"Hah" I scoffed. "You wish"

"So do you plan on getting off me anytime soon? or would you like to lay on an acquaintance a bit longer?"

A small blush flushed his cheeks as he diverted his gaze and furrowed his brows.

He begins to get off me and puts on a shirt.

Am I really the only one feeling this way?

I glance at him in hopes of detecting a similar let down, but find none. In a matter of seconds his annoyed scowl is back.

I get up abruptly as soon as I am free.

My body language is tense and closed off.

Throwing up a defensive wall is best with him.

I grab my back pack and push past Bakugou, bumping my shoulder against his as I did.

"Watch it!" He snapped.

I ignore his protest and continue towards the kitchen.

He grabs my arm and tugs on it hard making me stop and face him.

"Now what the hell is wrong with you!" He growled.

I yank my arm free from him.

"Nothing, Im fine!" I snapped.

"You're crazy you know that!" He took a step towards me.

why do we always end up fighting!

"One second you are fine and the next your pist! Cut it out!" He ordered.

This actually made me laugh.

I held his gaze. "Ha! thats rich comming from you!" I said before I stormed out of the living room.

He followed me into the kitchen, I could see his anger rising.

"What's that suppose to mean?" he asked through a clenched jaw.

"My god you are dense! Nothing!" I barked as I stomped towards the cupboard.

"You Idiot, cant you just talk straight. Stop acting like a child and tell me whats wrong" He growled.

I can feel his eyes on me as he comes up right behind me.
