It's been the past couple of years that Maggie's parents can't seem to get along. It's been happening more than usual. You don't understand how two people who rarely see each other have so many things to argue about.

Maggie knew her siblings didn't deserve this but then again there was nothing Maggie could do. She was almost 17 and was told when she hit the age of 18, she was out the doors.

Maggie hated when her parents argued she couldn't get anything done which was one reason to her failing grades which definitely wasn't getting her into any college anytime soon.

The arguments were unbearable and made Maggie upset. She didn't understand why they didn't get a divorce already. It was something about being there for her younger brothers, but they were doing more harm than good.

Maggie could think of 300 times her parents ruined her moments with their stupid bickering. Like her 8th grade graduation, or the time they were out eating at a fancy restaurant, even during a teacher conference.

Maggie knew it wasn't good to hold a grudge, but she couldn't help but think about how her parents ruined multiple milestones Maggie had in life because they couldn't get along for a couple of hours.

Maggie didn't have many friends as well. She was too embarrassed to even invite them over. She didn't want someone over and her parents break out into a word clashing brawl it was embarrassing so Maggie kept to herself.

There was one day Maggie's crush Billie which so happens to live next to her was outside playing with her dog while Maggie was washing her car and her parents took their verbal argument outside to practically wake up the whole neighborhood.

Maggie was disappointed that her parents would do something like that. Billie saw the expressions on the raven-hair girls face. Billie grew up with perfect parents and Billie wouldn't dare try to compare her childhood to Maggie's.

The next day Billie came over with roses for the girl volunteering that if Maggie couldn't get sleep that she was always welcomed to the blonde's residence. Maggie didn't want to take advantage, so she never went over the blonde's house.

She didn't know if it was a kind gesture or just an act of empathy that the blonde had to witness such annoyance from adults twice her age, but Maggie thanked the girl anyways. They wouldn't let that be their last interaction.

Maggie and Billie would make small talk once in a while weather it'd be a text message or even slight conversation in the hallways walking to their classes. Billie felt sad for the girl. truth is Billie had always noticed Maggie.

It was only about 3 weeks ago she learned that Maggie lived next to her. Billie never noticed because Maggie was making herself unknown. Billie wanted to talk more to Maggie but right now if Maggie wanted to talk, she would text first.

--

Maggie was laying in her bed it was 11:00 PM and thinking if she went to sleep early, she could be in bed before her parents started arguing about why the sky was blue. Sadly, Maggie's planned failed.

As soon as Maggie rested her head on her cold pillow her parents started their drama. Different profanities being used, things getting thrown around and the most famous phrase. "Keep it down the kids will hear you." What they didn't know was they could already hear everything the house wasn't that big.

"You stupid Bitch" Maggie heard her dad say before the clattering of a plate hit the wall. Maggie got up slipping her slippers on walking downstairs. "Can you guys shut the fuck up for one fucking night." Maggie said groggily she hadn't gotten more than 6 hours of sleep in 2 weeks, and it was killing her.

Her parents stood still until Maggie walked back into her room. Maggie got back in her bed as silence wiped over the house. Not even ten minutes later the yelling started again "You woke up your daughter!" Her mom yelled. "It doesn't matter she needs to move out she doesn't do shit anyway and that's your fucking child and you know it." Her Dad replied.

"I don't know why your delusions are making you think I was cheating on you, you ungrateful bitch." Her mother yelled. Maggie was hearing a lot of things she wasn't supposed to but couldn't comprehend anything of the sorts her mind went blank as she just wanted sleep.

Maggie threw on a hoodie with some sweats carrying a blanket as she walked downstairs. Her parents froze when they say her walking to the door. "Where do you think you're going at 12:00 in the morning?" Her dad asked.

"To get some fucking sleep, and it's not like you would care I'm not your daughter remember?" Maggie replied walking over to the blonde's house.

Maggie knocked on the door with her eyes half closed. Billie got up making sure not to wake anyone in the house. The blonde couldn't sleep she didn't know whether it was her thoughts getting to her or her insomnia, but the blonde had tried every remedy, and nothing worked.

She walked down to the door being met with Maggie. "Hey, I'm sorry I didn't text you but I'm really tired, and I need somewhere to sleep the floor is fine if you don't mind, I just need some peace and quiet." Maggie said being able to barely keep her eyes open.

Billie pulled Maggie into the door before taking a look at the girl's appearance. Dark bags under her eyes like she hadn't slept in a couple of days. Billie was right Maggie didn't get any sleep, but days were an understatement.

Billie grabbed the blanket out of Maggie's hands throwing it over her own shoulder while picking the girl up and taking her upstairs to her bedroom. Billie placed Maggie on the bed while putting the blanket over her body as she curled up.

Billie started walking out before Maggie moaned out. "No, come back please. Stay with me." Maggie said in a groggy voice. Billie sighed slightly smiling as she plopped down on the bed taking the blanket putting it over herself but giving Maggie majority of it since she might pull it during the night.

Maggie was so tired she didn't realize the actions she was doing that she might regret tomorrow morning. She laid her head on Billie chest before snuggling into the girls' breasts as she cuddled into Billie.

Billie smiled at the girl's antics and in all the ways she tried not to overstep but also getting herself comfortable. Billie pulled the girl closer as she kissed Maggie's forehead chuckling.

"Your pretty adorable when your half asleep." Billie whispered. "Good night love" Billie said as Maggie fell asleep in the blonde's arms.
